Review summary

My wife and I were generally pleased with the cruise due in large part because we were able to stay in 2 adjacent 1a staterooms for the same price that we would have paid for 1.  (We still love each other after 40 years of marriage, but I snore ;-)

The food was ok, but the quality has definitely decreased since we started cruising with Carnival about 5 years ago.  The real dining issues were the bad behavior (yelling, throwing utensils, etc) of some of the other guests we were seated near and Carnival's failure to enfore their dinner dress code.

The nightly entertainment was way too intense for us.  The director/producer must think that every show has to run at full throttle the whole time to keep the audience's attention.

Cabin / Stateroom

This stateroom has plenty of room for just one cruiser. Although the seas were never very rough, there was a lot of noise and vibration from waves breaking over the bow one night which kept me awake.

Ship tip

If you want quiet dining atmosphere when you eat at the Lido buffet, go up the stairs to the Fish and Chips restaurant which few people seem to know about.
