The whole family enjoyed the new experience though we all wish there had been more time at the ports. There was a wide variety of excursions but not enough time to enjoy them. Food and service was good. Activities on board were OK. 

This is the first time we have  taken our 2 boys on a cruise 12 and 17. My husband and I cruise by ourselves and have cruised on Holland America and Celebrity, both nicer ships and better service. For the price this trip was a decent value. There weren't as many activities as I though for the kids. The other cruise lines have just as many. I guess I was thinking Carnival was all about family but I would say they cater to a very diversified group. Overall a good experience.

The ship was beautiful and immaculate. All the food was outstanding except Fish and Chips restaurant which was gross All the staff was friendly and helpful.

My daughter and I really enjoyed being able to relax and have fun on this cruise.  The staff and food was excellent, the comedy club was hysterical, the ports and shopping were all great.  The only negative for me, as a 40 something, was the spring break feel in the main pool areas.  People were doing funnels and buying 100+ oz beer tubes.  We saw 3 people passed out and two of those had vomited in public areas - not very relaxing.  Having seen that the first two days, the constant pushing of alcohol everywhere on the ship ended up getting on my nerves. We had a few drinks and they were good, but a bit pricey.  The pools were very small (given the alcohol consumption, I'm sure that was for safety reasons) and people were literally shoulder to shoulder in them.  In spite of that, I enjoyed myself very much and was able to find quiet places to relax.  There was a great variety of things to do from early morning to late at night.

Quick & easy boarding and disembarking in Galveston.  Very nice ship.  Enjoyed our formal evening dining and the different shows.  We do an extended-family cruise almost every year.  Everyone can do their own thing as well as have some good  "together" time. 

Our steward, Irpan, was amazing.  He always remembered my name, and was happy to help with whatever I needed.  Carnival cruise lines was more of a party atmosphere than other cruise lines we have experienced.  I enjoyed the live music by the pool everyday.  The food was good, and I could always find a seat in the eating areas.  The exercise room was great.  we enjoyed playing volleyball and basketball.  The cruise director had a potty mouth and had some competitions that were held during the day, around the pool, that were not appropriate for children or teenagers.  the debarking process took us two hours and seemed to be quite unorganized. 

Had not cruised in awhile and not a 7 day one. We loved everything about the trip. Good friendly staff wherever you went, food was great, enough fun to keep us going, peace and quite when we wanted it, good stops (Loved Roatan beach), great shows (appreciated the PG Comedy shows), and on and on.

Will for sure do Carnival Cruise again soon!

This was my second cruise with Carnival. On my first cruise on the Magic there was so much to do we regularly has to make hard decisions on which activities to do. On the Freedom, there were multiple periods were only paid events were happening. The entertainment was so bad. On the Magic the productions were elaborate but on the Freedom it was similar to a middle school production. The Freedom also lack outdoor events such as the ropes course and the boat seems smaller. The dinner staff was nice but lacked the friendlies and attention I received on the Magic. Overall will cruise with Carnival again but not on the Freedom

Its been a few years since last being on Carnival. But after our latest trip we found that there is only subtle differences in quality and service from our experiences with Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, or Celebrity. The comedy club was the best and offset rather modest showroom productions. The layout, design, and adult area swim/hot tubs was very comfortable.

We told them on several occasions that the room was hot and they did nothing. Very displeased. I want something done. Since they did nothing. The cruise was great but I wished the did something about my room. I am very upset.

I liked this cruise because it was 'affordable' for our group of six Bible study friends. We were each able to pick and choose how to enjoy our time and meet together everyday for dinner. My favorite spots were the spa, no-smoking areas for adults only, early comedy shows, karaoke shows, early piano bar sing-a-longs and musical chairs, horseback riding excursions, breakfast and dinner in the Posh dining area along with three afternoon tea times.

If I repeat the cruise again, I will pack less, enjoy my favorites listed above, and add taking the stairs more and get out of my cabin earlier everyday to view the beautiful sunrises from the top deck instead of my room. 

So we booked this cruise with very high expectations because our last carnival cruises were great. Let me start off with the room, it was dusty, towels had stains on them and the bed was hands down the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. I also picked up ringworm...how gross! The staff was super friendly, our house keeper was super nice and always called us by our names. We are early birds, and can never sleep in. Breakfast started at 7-7:30 a.m. and during the hour-hour and a half we were up before that, there was nothing to do. We ate at the early dinner and again, after dinner there was nothing to do until much later, so we would go back to the room and end up falling asleep. Another small thing that really bothered me was when I ordered a margarita. The menu said that it was made with lime juice and they are made with sweet and sour, no only is this the cheap way out but it was also disgusting and the bartender in the EA Sports bar was super rude about it. If i ever take a Carnival cruise again I will be bringing my own cleaning supplies.

 Compared to other cruises, we did not care for this one.  Carnival seems to have cut back on their staffing and service.  We noticed that even though the staff was friendly, they all seemed excessively busy and we never felt there was time for them to 'connect' with the cruisers.  There was a time that you would drink coffee out on the lido deck and the waiters would walk around making sure your cups were always full.  We never saw that and we even had to 'bus' our own tables on several occasions.  The bar service, especially in the casino,was poor, but again I believe it was due to understaffing.  In addition, the bar drinks are too expensive.  On a positive note, getting on and off the ship went smoothly, the entertainment was good, food was ok considering how many people they have to cook for.  We really enjoyed the Guy burgers and fries.  Out of the seven people traveling in our group, two became sick on the cruise and two became sick after returning home.  I realize this is not uncommon since there are ao many people crammed together in one place, but it's just something I wanted to mention.  

The cruise was great! A lot to do on the boat and an awesome cruise director. Loved the Playlist Production shows and the Piano Bar! They were so awesome. Food could have been a little better and more varied. It was tiring having three port days, I wish we could have had more days at sea in between, but that's just geography :) I wish yoga was included in the price, and I feel like the waiters could have been a little more kind and fun. But overall it was a really great experience! We loved the mini golf, the 24 hour pizza, and the late night snacks!

We enjoyed the talent on stage also the comedians were super on the cruise.  We enjoyed the dining much more than the buffet slection.  The staff were very mannered and friendly.  Not much shopping to be had on this ship compared to others we've been on.

The service was great. The food was much better than the last time e cruised. We did have one night of very rough seas. It would have been helpful if they had communicated more during that time if at all possible. Overall great experience, though.

Great time fun people

good food great stops. Really enjoyed the shows and the pools .  The comics were very funny and there were so many things to do day and night.

Excellent cruise, excellent staff, cannot elaborate more than that. Thoroughly enjoyed it. This was 9th cruise and planning another one for next year.
