Q: Hi! My family & I are going on a cruise on the Freedom soon & are so excited. I’m buying those last minute items & just wondering if it is really necessary to buy a power strip for the room? Just wondering everyone’s thoughts on this. I would appreciate any advice/help you can give me. Thank you in advance!!😊

A: Absolutely bring a non surge protector power strip with USB ports. a USB fan is nice, and a small power pack lets you use it in the bath, which gets steamy.

A: We always bring the telescopic straw - they are metal and you can buy them at Walmart for a couple of bucks. Have a great cruise !

A: Definitely bring one of those USB powered fans. The rooms aren’t terribly stuffy but a fan definitely helps keep it cooler. Bring straws the ones carnival has are made of candy, melt, and taste awful.

A: a cheap 5 in 1 strip from Walmart should be plenty. If you want to get fancy, get the one with USB ports. No Surge Protectors allowed.

A: The fitness center opens at 6AM. More than likely the door will be closed but is unlocked and you are allowed to enter and use the center. Staff usually do not open the door until closer to 7AM when the morning free stretch class starts.

A: Closes at 10pm. Not sure what time it opens. 7 or 8 I believe

A: We were on the freedom in January and if I remember correctly, they are on the starboard side hallway by the Aft elevators on decks 2 through 8. We tried to use them on the 4th day of a 5 day cruise and had to go to 4 different decks to find a laundr... y soap machine that was not sold out. I would recommend bringing your own soap or buy it early on in the cruise.See More

A: I doubt they heard the Serenity crowd. I have been in lower cove balconies, i.e. recessed, and could hear the 80s party on the top deck. Wasn't too bad but would think any floor above could also hear with each higher floor it getting a little loude... r. It really depends on how the wind and speed of the ship. A: A few cruises ago I had a balcony cabin located under Serenity. Never again! They were loud and rambunctious even after supposed closing hours. Daytime was fine.

A: The deck above spa deck is serenity. You’ll hear virtually no noise during the dark hours. During the day, you may hear a chair being repositioned but that would be rare. I’d take spa deck over most others due to no interior cabins and likely no chil... dren in the adjacent cabins. It’s pretty peaceful on the spa deck.See More

A: Yeah there is a formal night. It ranges from not dressy to prom dressy. I usually am near the prom dress side. The range is so big it is whatever you are comfortable In. No matter what you won’t feel like you don’t belong. I think the dinning rooms a... re cold. But I get cold easy.See More

A: Upgrading at check-doesn’t happen anymore. They offer and sell random upgrades prior to sailing to ensure the boat is as filled to capacity as possible. Typically rooms left are not going to be an upgrade.
