I was satisfied with the ship as a whole. The cabin accomadations were execptional. Ship personal were generally rude and impersonal with the exception of our cabin steward who was great. Nightlife entertainment was dissapointing. The biggest letdown was the food quality. I've had better food at a 7/11. This is not just me...everyone was complaining. Carnival crusies will not be a choice for my next vacation.

The food was excellent, a wide variety of selection in the formal dining room along with the service (was good). However, the room condition was trashy and inconceivable. We were told 4 to a room would be more then enough room, but it definately was not! We actually had a lawn chair put in he room with a broken up cot place on the top of it. It was literally lying on the ground and we have pictures to prove it. We were told that we would be upgraded since we were all past carnival guests, but that only found us in the back of the boat being woken by what felt like an earthquake when we would dock or hit any rough patch of water. The room steward would not answer any of our calls and did not provide us with the appropriate room necessities. 24 hours on call...I don't think so. Sheets were changed only once on board (Thursday, on Puerto Rico day) however they were stained with yellow marks(no one call still figure out what that would be, hoiping it was from any distgusting human habit) and no sheets were delivered at all after calling the cabin service and purser desk. Finally, the captain did not keep us updated as they did on the last cruise, we had no idea where we were, what time in was or how fast we were going. You also felt every movement on the boat going fast or slow. This was by far the worst vacation experience. We spent more time being uptight and living in unhealthy conditions rather then having "fun in the sun" on the apparent "Fun Ship." I would only expect a discount on another vacation to keep theit customers happy. We deserve some of our money back b/c of this experience. You pay so much money to make your vacation nice, and you can not deliver. I would only expect this out of a company.

I enjoyed all of the shows and I especially liked the food!

we had a good time but we were not impressed with this vacation. the cruise we went on last year was much nicer. The people weren't as friendly or catering to our needs like last time. the ship was also a lot smaller than the last one. The places we stopped at however were beautiful!

The ship was in great shape. We stayed on the Riveria deck towards the back of the boat. Which turned out to be just a short ride on the elavator to Tiffanys restaurant and our dining room. .

Very clean, roomy, and friendly crew

This was the third cruise we've taken. It was the first time on Carnival. I guess that had we not cruised before, not knowing what to expect, we would have enjoyed ourselves more. The attentiveness of the crew was not near as good as the last two cruises we took. We signed up for the late seating for dinner and were forced to take the early seating. This made us to rush to dinner on many occasions and also to be rushed to finish before the second seating. The food in the buffets was avarage at best. The wait staff unattentive. Empty plates were left on tables, while people searched for a clean place to be seated. On the plus side the cabin attendents were very friendly and helpful. The Gym was well furnished, although it closed rather early at 10pm. The Kids club was a good program and our 7 yr old loved going there.

If you are looking for a lounge chair on any of the decks on a sea day, make sure to go out early to get a chair or you will be sitting on the deck. Not enough lounge chairs were on the boat to accomidate everyone.

well kept, very clean, talented staff, gracious steward and waiters. An older ship with a staff that tries to make it as good as being on one of the new superships. The itinerary left plenty of time for all events at every port. The new port of Grand Turk was overwhelming in its beauty and freedom of access to its facilities.

The ship was amazing...it was immaculately clean and beautiful, the food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. We actually cried when we had to come home---if we were rich, we'd cruise all the time!

The ship is beautiful. The atrium is in the center and all of the shops and retaurants, etc are off of that. It is easy to get around. The cabins are nice and big for a cruise ship

The Purser information office was poorly trained and not knowlegeable when questions were asked. The Pursers provided conflicting information every time you saw a different one. The tour staff was never available except 2 hours a day to answer any questions. The times for the tour office hours were 7:00 am 8:00 am and 5:00 to 6:00 pm. No information was provided on how to enroll 6 people traveling together in different canbins on the same tours, thus only 3 were able to go on some tours. Some tours in San Juan were cancelled and no effort was made by the staff to help find another. At 10:00 pm the night before the tour the Purser infomored us that the tour was cancelled. The next morning when trying to return the tickets a different Purse said we would not be able to return the tickets,because the tour was not cancelled. At 5:00 pm that day when the tour desk opened the tour was cancelled. This is a problem. The fruit was not ripe during the entire trip.

Very clean and everything located conveniently.

The ship was huge, not overcrowded and was very clean and well kept.

My overall impression was that the Elation was a wonderful time and I would love to take another cruise asap!!! My family and I had a wonderful time and were highly pleased with everything! The staff were extremely hard working!

The rooms were very comfortable and well maintained. The pools were very nice and the slide was a plus. I enjoyed the casino and all the lounges very much.

The trip was cold the first few days. Mostly feel bad for the 600 plus that didn't make the boat. The 3rd thru 6th day were much warmer, just a little windy and rocky on the water.

Small ship, not enough entertainment for 5 days. I love carnival and never complained but would not sail this ship again.
