Carnival Elation Cruise Review to Caribbean - Eastern
Sail Date: May 21, 2006
Ship: Carnival Elation
Cabin Type: Inside
Traveled As: Family (young children)

Review SummaryThis was the third cruise we've taken. It was the first time on Carnival. I guess that had we not cruised before, not knowing what to expect, we would have enjoyed ourselves more. The attentiveness of the crew was not near as good as the last two cruises we took.
We signed up for the late seating for dinner and were forced to take the early seating. This made us to rush to dinner on many occasions and also to be rushed to finish before the second seating.
The food in the buffets was avarage at best. The wait staff unattentive. Empty plates were left on tables, while people searched for a clean place to be seated.
On the plus side the cabin attendents were very friendly and helpful. The Gym was well furnished, although it closed rather early at 10pm. The Kids club was a good program and our 7 yr old loved going there.
Ports of Call
Pros: Kids programs, good sized rooms
Cons: Waiters not very attentive. Food average. Customs inspection conducted twice.
