Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We had a really good time. It rained a few days but there was always enough things going on inside to keep us busy and forget about the rain. The stops were nice and there were lots of activites to do at each port.

This was a great experience by JimC21

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I was impressed by the size of the ship yet it was always clean and spotless The staff, especially those in the dining room ,were fantastic. They worked together to make the meal a very pleasent experience. The food was great at every meal. Activities were always going on and pool area was fun . We had a medical emergency on the ship and the Coast Guard had to fly a helicopter out to retrieve the person . It was quite a sight showing how the staff of the ship and the Coast Guard worked together to effect the rescue. It made us feel safe and secure to be on a ship with a well trained staff . The ports were a lot of fun and the ship did provide very good information of what to do ro not do at each stop.Tour director provided very valuable information. All in all , this was my first cuise and because of the great time I had, it will not be my last.

wonderful cruise until someone jumped by JohnE18

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Loved the ship, service was ok, some people went out of their way some did not, I was upset of the person jumping off the ship and killing themselves but no one can stop that, she was with us around 10 minutes before it happened and it was just unbelievable what happened.

We had a great time except for sleeping by SusanG24

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was very beautiful and very large. The passengers for the most part were all well behaved. The crew were all great. The shows were wonderful. We had a problem with noise in our cabin. We could never get any help with the noise problem. Our room number was #6408 and was located above a bathroom. In the evening from 10:00 to 3:00AM the stall doors banged constantly which made in extremely difficult to sleep. Nothing was ever done about it.

relaxing time by MarlenaC

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

the ship was very clean, the people that worked there were all excellent except two people. a sandwich maker and a spa attendent. i had a mini spa treatment and head rub and they placed me in the middle of the beauty salon, laying on one of there benches. it was loud and not relaxing in the least little bit. the young man that performed the service was excellent, it was just difficult because the was it was performed. the snottie person that was at the front desk was a lady that i asked why it was going to be done in the spa.

ONE OF THE BEST I'VE EVER BEEN ON! by SandraB15

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The staff was great. The ship was very clean, our stateroom was kept very clean, our room was kept stocked, our room steward went out of his way to keep plenty of ice for our drinks, constantly asking if we need anything. The entertainment was ok, I've seen & heard better.

Awesome First Time Cruise! by StevenA4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

All I can say is, Awesome! From the moment we boarded the ship I knew I was in for something special. I have never been on a ship before and I was impressed with the beautiful atrium on the Conquest. Imagine, glass elevators traveling up and down 11 stories with beautiful wood trim and hand painted walls surrounding the whole affair. I was transported in thought to an oppulent hotel in New York City or perhaps Paris or London. With a "Welcome Aboard" drink in-hand my wife and I found our stateroom and marvelled at the private balcony and wonderful surprises behind every door and curtain: hand-folded towells in the shape of an elephant, champagne on ice and a "High seas Romance" package ( thoughtfully purchased by yours truly before the cruise) and delivered to the room before we boarded!, Chocalte mints on the pillows and the crisp sheets neatly folded back, Ahhh! Can it get any better? Yes! Gourmet dinners, Top Quality entertainment, every wish and whim looked after by the ever gracious staff, ports of call in exotic Jamaica, Grand Cayman Cozumel, the week was a whirlwind of fun. We are already planning another cruise and I can hardly wait to sail the seas again in luxury! Thanks Cruises Only I'll be calling you soon!! Bon Voyage.

Conquest Cruise by JanH2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Conquest is a beautiful ship. Clean and well taken care of. The food was very good. Using the Fun Pass was a joke the lines were so long - it was better to get in the line without the Fun Pass . The Purser lines were long. We were late to ports - people were angry about the delays - they allowed pushing and shoving.

Great cruise! by BrendaW8

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was beautiful, but it was so large it took a couple of days to learn your way around. Dining room was very nice, good food, great music, great waiters. Great cruise director!! Were very disappointed in progresso, felt they should have offered a better port in place of jamacia. Enjoyed the female comedian, very intertaining. Too much drinking, although fools are intertaining!! Overall had a great time. Will definitely do it again!!

interesting decor by JillO1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The French Impressionists theme is interesting. Although the ship is big, the public rooms didn't seem as spacious as other ships I've been on. Entire staff was wonderful and extremely cordial and helpful. There was a glitch in some birthday surprises that I ordered for my husband. But I really can't complain about that because they didn't hesitate to take responsibility and made it good. That's all you can ask for.

Carnival Conquest August 2006 by KristiO

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We were on the Carnival Conquest in August, 2006. The ship was well-kept and the designs were over-the-top and cheesy, but really fun. The food was better than I expected, and there was never a shortage of it. We ate at the Supper Club once; the food was great, up until the main courses (filet and porterhouse). The steaks were FAR below our expectations, because everything else at the supper club was AMAZING by comparison. All of the staff throughout the ship were extremely friendly and helpful (with the exception of the bouncers at Henri's Disco--they were ruder than any bouncers I have ever encountered). Although there was always a bingo game (or two) going on, I wish that the ship would have had more activities during the day. The pools were WAY smaller than I expected-- there were 3 pools (I think), but they are all very, very shallow and very, very small. The adults only pool was less crowded than the main pool, and was (for the most part) kept adults only. The drinks on the ship were not overly expensive--if you go out to bars at all, then they are actually pretty reasonable (like $5-6 drinks on average).

Excellent Value by DanielaK1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We took our 3 kids (22, 19, and 16) on a week's cruise on the Carnival Conquest to the Western Carribean. There was something for everyone. My husband and I enjoyed afternoon tea and delicious deserts in Alfred's Bar. The comedy shows were first class, our personal favorites. I was impressed at the effeciency at which 3000+ people were boarded and unboarded at the different ports. I knew there would be a lot of food but the quality of the food far surpassed any of my expections. The waiters in the Monet dining room were so nice and personable; the service was superb. The food on the Lido deck was also high quality with plenty of variety. The goat cheese pizza from the 24 hour pizzeria was the best. A cruise vacation is the best vacation value out there and I highly recommend Carnival cruises. Where else can you have such good food (all you can eat), friendly service, a variety of entertainment options nightly, very comfortable beds, bedding, scenic views, 24 hour room service, and different ports of call all in one package?
