Review summary
We were on the Carnival Conquest in August, 2006. The ship was well-kept and the designs were over-the-top and cheesy, but really fun. The food was better than I expected, and there was never a shortage of it. We ate at the Supper Club once; the food was great, up until the main courses (filet and porterhouse). The steaks were FAR below our expectations, because everything else at the supper club was AMAZING by comparison. All of the staff throughout the ship were extremely friendly and helpful (with the exception of the bouncers at Henri's Disco--they were ruder than any bouncers I have ever encountered). Although there was always a bingo game (or two) going on, I wish that the ship would have had more activities during the day. The pools were WAY smaller than I expected-- there were 3 pools (I think), but they are all very, very shallow and very, very small. The adults only pool was less crowded than the main pool, and was (for the most part) kept adults only. The drinks on the ship were not overly expensive--if you go out to bars at all, then they are actually pretty reasonable (like $5-6 drinks on average).Ports of call
Pros: Food was great
Cons: Not enough activities
