A great cruise! by MichelleM15

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We sailed on the Conquest and we really enjoyed it. We enjoyed the many food choices and with the many different stations, I never felt like I was waiting in a long line to eat. Staff was very friendly. There was plenty to do on the ship. In fact, I felt like I didn't get to do everything I wanted. We enjoyed the shows. We participated in some the different activities (pool games, red/blue/white activities, and various parties) which was fun. The children really enjoyed Camp Carnival which gave the adults time to relax by the pool, read a book or do things they wouldn't want to do. I will cruise again (soon I hope)!

Great Experience by ErikH

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I enjoyed the ship. Very nice decoration, good food, and good service as well. I liked everything except the fact that it was a hassle to get off and on the ship..very time consuming, I hope they work on this aspect. Other than that, awesome trip.

A Most Exciting Experence by ReneS1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The overall experience was outstanding yet being our first cruise we will definately cruise again. Service was superior to anything available on land or air, the ships stability and control is far from spectacular. The captain and his staff were more than qualified and the food was out of sight. House Keeping services are highly effective and proffesional. As far as onboard enterainmant well lets just say there is always something to do, yet you can only cover so much. Over All review. TOTALLY EXCEPTIONAL FAR FROM ORDINARY!!!!!!!!!!

A Terrific Senior High Spring Break! by MeganF1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was my first cruise and although I visited the website, I didn't know what to really expect. My two friends and I boarded the ship for our Senior High School Spring Break trip - a gift from our families - and we were accompanied by one friend's parents. From the very beginning, I knew this would be a trip of a lifetime. The ship was big and beautiful, our room (lower deck) was comfy and I was overwhelmed with the variety of things to do. I was always busy with activities and meeting new "friends" - we had such an array of choices from morning to night. Poolside to inside...I had a blast.

IT WAS A GREAT GRUISE by BruceG2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

THIS WAS MY FIRST CRUISE,AND OVER ALL IT WAS EXCELLENT. ESPECIALLY THEFOOD IN THE MAIN DINING ROOM WAS EXCELLENT! I HAD A CHANCE TO TRY SOME THINGS WHICH I HAVE ALWAYS READ ABOUT,BUT NEVER ABLE TO TRY ! FOR EXAMPLE ESCARGOT,LAMB, CHATEAUBRIAND AND THE DESSERTS TO NUMEROUS TOO MENTION! THE SERVERS IN THE RENOIR ROOM ALL WENT OUT OF THERE WAY TO NOT ONLY MAKE THE DINING EXPERIENCE ENJOYABLE BUT FUN!! MY STEWARD AND HIS HELPER WERE ALSO EXCELLENT!! ROOM 1230 THE ONLY NEGATIVE THING I CAN SAY IS,AND IT IN NO WAY REFLECTS ON THE SHIP OR THE STAFF!! I AM A SINGLE GUY , AND MOST OF THE TIME,I HAVE HAD TO TAKE MY VACATIONS BY MY SELF. AND FOR ME PERSONNALLY,EVEN JUST HANGING OUT CACCHING RAYS ON DECK IS NOT FUN. I REALLY ENJOYED THE SHOWS, I DONT THINK THE AUDIENCE GAVE THEM THE CREDIT THEY HAD CMING !! I DONT LIKE BINGO!

A satisfactory cruise by DonaldC

We thought ship too large, crowded, and crew seemed poorly trained to help with routine questions and directions. They seemed to be in a hurry. Guess overworked....

The ship was clean. The staff was excellent and very friendly. The food was wonderful and we ate at all the spots! The cruise director was not the best and a lot of the entertainment we had seen on Carnival ships before.

Excellent cruise value by DennisG3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The cruise was great. From what we'd heard and read about Carnival, we figured the food wouldn't be quite as good, but the entertainment first rate. Turned out to be just the opposite! Service was also superb. I'd wished I'd given a little extra (they charge your tips to your ship account) to our waiter and steward, because they really did a great job, worked hard to give us a nice experience. About the time we'd gotten to the ship, Lynn realized she mostly wanted to relax (we only got off in 2 of our 3 ports, and had 3 sea days besides). Went to art auction previews (free champagne!), which was a new, fun thing for us. Best Captain's reception we've ever been to. Port of Galveston was marginal. (Every bathroom was closed, which had to be a problem for some of the 3000 passengers boarding!) To be safe, allow 3 hours to get from Bush. Our shuttle service (Galveston Limo) was marginal. Production shows relied too much on feathers and skin... not family entertainment, and actually a bit boring.

Carnival LIberty cruise review by CherylR11

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

From the minute we got on the ship (which was around noon!) to the minute we got off, it was awesome! I had a balcony and would have it no other way (spoiled now). Just to see the sunrise and sunsets from your balcony is awesome. The ship was beautiful, the decor was beautiful, everything was spic and span. Employees were always friendly, always cleaning and willing to help with anything. The cruise director was wonderful along with the other staff - they were hilarous! I enjoyed the LIberty better than any other ship I have cruised on - perhaps it was because of the BIG SCREEN outside. It was great just sitting/laying there watching concerts and movies. There were new games on the cruise this time - something that was much needed as the old ones were getting old! I would love to see more Bingos with more games instead of one game for 20.00. The ship was huge and even with over 3000 passengers on the ship, you never felt like you were crowded. During breakfast and lunch, it was crowded some, but flowed nicely. I honestly can say this cruise ship is awesome and I can't wait to sail her again. The debarkation went smooth also - we used the self assist and we were off the ship by 7:45! Not that I wanted to get off - but good thing we were off early as the airport in Miami was wild. We didn't get a chance to try Harrys so I can't comment on that. All in all I would rate it a 6 out of 5 stars!! :-)

A Great Cruise by KenL3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My wife and I sailed on the Conquest Feb 4-11, 2007 on the western Caribbean itinerary. The ship is just fantastic. It is so beautiful and awe inspiring. The impressionistic artwork everywhere just catches the eye and the more you look, the more you see. On top of being a beautiful ship, she was exceptionally clean. The crew was always bustling around cleaning something. The first two days and nights we had rough weather. 39 knot winds and 8-14 foot seas. A lot of folks got sick and it was rather hard to walk around. But the crew passed out anti-nausea drugs and "barf" bags were available everywhere. The big show of the night had to be switched with another show later in the week because it was too dangerous for the dancers to be on stage. Despite all that, life went on, dinner went on, a singer did a great show and all was not lost. After the rough weather passed, we had clear and calm seas the rest of the trip. Our first stop was Montego Bay. I highly recommend the Sandals all inclusive shore excursion. The price seems steep, but remember it includes all you can drink and eat while there. Jamaica looks a little scary to venture out alone, especially on a first visit. Our second stop was Grand Cayman. It was a very nice little town, with plenty of shops right by the pier area. The last stop was Cozumel. We had to tender to shore, but that was no problem. We docked at the International Pier. There were so many shops there that one really didn't need to go elsewhere to shop, but we did. We took a taxi to the downtown area and had a lot of fun. We went to Los Cinco Sols and had an extended lunch with lots of margaritas at Panchos Backyard, a courtyard cafe inside the Los Cinco Sols. Very relaxing and very good margaritas! The last two days were lazy days on the ship. The formal nights were very nice. The food was always good, even better than I expected. We had beef tenderloin, lobster, duck and all sorts of restaurant quality dishes. One night we dined in the Point Supper Club, which costs extra. It was an extraordinary experience of fine dining...great service and exquisite food. I highly recommend going there.

"had a great time." by DianeR13

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The passengers on board were the friendliest people we have ever met. We enjoyed the shows. We liked the convenience of sailing out of Galveston - quick to get from the Midwest and less traffic than many other ports. It is easy to get to and from the terminal.
