Carnival Conquest overview

Carnival Conquest was built from 1999 through 2001 and entered service February 1, 2002 as the first ship in Carnival Cruise Line's Conquest class. Carnival Conquest is an affordable ship for young families with kids, thanks to Camp Carnival, but adults will appreciate her 22 bars and lounges. 60 percent of the ship’s rooms have ocean views, and 60 percent of those have private balconies, making this a perfect ship for cruisers who want a private outdoor spot to watch the waves roll by. Carnival Conquest was upgraded to include Carnival's Fun Ship 2.0 amenities in 2012, and Guy's Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina, and Punchliner Comedy Club are crowd favorites. Conquest is a "Fun Ship" at heart with a laid-back vibe, where casual dining abounds and there’s plenty of complimentary food to choose from. The Point Steakhouse, a specialty dining venue, serves up delicious steaks and seafood for an extra charge. On sailing days, the Sea Day Brunch offers late-risers a full brunch menu in the main dining room.

Since entering service in 2002, Carnival Conquest serves as an affordable ship for young families with kids, all while giving adults much to appreciate in amenities, entertainment, and activities. After receiving the Fun Ship 2.0 upgrades in 2017, Carnival Conquest offers a mixture of laid-back vibes and action-packed fun akin to newer ships in the fleet with new restaurants, upgraded entertainment, and enhanced programs for all to enjoy. How will you spend your days at sea aboard Carnival Conquest? Families with kids from toddlers to teens have a variety of options including Camp Ocean, a program for ages 2-11 to engage in ocean-themed activities and games. Just-for-teens hangouts include Circle “C” and Club O2 where they can sing karaoke, play video games, listen to music, and much more. Seuss at Sea is a must for the whole family with a character breakfast, parade, and storytime. Not to be left out, adults will have their pick of how to relax, catch some sun, and have some fun. The adults-only Serenity Retreat is the perfect spot to escape the crowds and grab a drink. 22 bars and lounges ensure that there’s a place for everyone to have a good time. Carnival Conquest boasts an active nightlife with live shows, music, an onboard casino, and comedy sets.

In 2019, Carnival Conquest sails from Ft. Lauderdale's Port Everglades on 6 and 8 night cruises to the Eastern and Southern Caribbean. In 2020, she relocates to Port Miami for 2 to 7-night cruises to the Bahamas and Eastern and Western Caribbean.

Before you book

Why sail: Carnival Conquest attracts young families with kids, budget-conscious cruisers, and fun lovers of all ages.

You should know: Carnival Conquest is smaller than the newest Carnival ships and doesn’t have the “new-ship feel” but holds her own thanks to the Fun Ship 2.0 upgrades.

Great experience! by Ageless70

Ship: Carnival Conquest

It was a refreshing experience on Carnival. We were on the Balcony room and it gave my husband and l , early morning retreat. The food got monotonous. The seafood from the sea shack was stale.

I have definitely had better by mollyvalentine1

Everything about this cruise was okay at best. Most first time cruisers seemed to be enjoying it but those with a few cruises under their belts seemed to feel it was lacking, myself included. We still had a good time.

The first two nights people were shouting in the middle of the night throughout our floor and kept waking us up. Everything else was great.

If you enjoy the buffet for breakfast and/or lunch, eat on deck 10 aft for more seating options ans less people.

I forgot one last tour we took. It was the 'Behind the Scene's' tour. Awesome, awesome, awesome! This was worth the price we paid. We got to see where the crew goes & how they live, how the ship runs, where the food is prepared and met the Captain. This is a must do tour!
