Carnival Breeze Cruise Reviews - Reviews

Our airfare was booked out of Seattle instead of Spokane and had us landing in Seattle at 12:45am with no connection to Spokane until 7am the next morning.  Carnival charged us $200 per person change fee plus $137 additional airfare then cancelled our Friday night accommodations and ground transport that our initial $1315 in airfare covered.  They refused to give in.  Then after I spent hours on the phone making those changes, they cancelled that flight.  We found out a week later (February 9 on a February 27 sailing and initially claimed we told them to cancel.  More hours on the phone, stress and and hassle got the same flight rebooked for another $210.  Finally - after more hours and stress on the phone, Carnival agreed to refund the $210 admitting a 'glitch' in their system.  Initially they offered us $25 per person on board credit and eventually gave us $100 per person onboard credit.  When I made the reservation in August, I wanted everything taken care of by Carnival.  They failed in every part of this.  It cost me almost $2000 for airfare, hotel and transport from Spokane, Wa to Miami, Fl.  I could have done that for a lot less on my own and Carnival should have done the same. On board, the food was mediocre and the singing entertainment was less than good.  Drinks were not consistent from one bar to the next and wait staff was slow as if there weren't enough.  There was dust on my nightstand but my cabin steward was very nice.  All the wait staff were hospitable.    I'll never use Carnival again. 

This cruise was everything we had hoped it would be! The crew was exceptional and met every request with a smile. We booked a cove balcony for the first time and we loved it! The only thing I would have changed about my cabin was the location. We were in the first cove balcony cabin and on rough sea days had to stay off the balcony because of excessive spray. The cabins further back didn't experience the same as did. The cove was always shaded and was protected from the afternoon showers we experienced in port. We do not usually stay to the forward but this time we did go with a guaranteed cabin which I will not do again. Our cabin was 2273 on the Breeze. 

I wish Carnival would go back to the old menu style with the comfort foods you could always count on in case you were not happy with the menu of the evening. Far too many dishes that were just not up to Carnival standards. Even the couple of items you could get every night like the pork chops you could have soled shoes and walked by home on. Tough and tasteless. This is my only complaint about my cruise!

We did purchase faster to fun but honestly for whatever reason Carnival dropped the ball here. This is very unlike them but it sure made up for itself during disembarkation! We were on the highway heading home before most people we even making their way through customs!

We think there should be more activities when at sea. And we don't feel the food was as good on the buffet as other cruises. We enjoyed all of our stops.  We enjoyed just walking around and seeing everything. We chose not to do excursions this time.

Not happy at all with carnival there is nothing to do. The shows are poor and boring 

to many lines ups to get your food at any time ,the AC is to high and many other problems,i will go for Royal Caribian 100% 

Great service, Carnival was attentive to an issue we had with our room, so many entertainment options to choose from on the Breeze, the ports we visited were great!    Already booked a cruise with Carnival for next year.

Cruise was good but the weather stank! I guess Feb is a windy, wavy month so we missed 1 of our ports and had rocky seas...we had a room in front of ship and did not enjoy that at all...otherwise our Carnival Breeze cruise was great!! Entertainment,  food,  staff, excursions...all great!! They made sure we had fun even though the weather was not great!! We will book with Carnival again!!

Cruise was awesome.  Our cabin steward was A+, our bathroom was always clean and we always had ice in our room without even asking.  Cruise director Mike was a blast, made the cruise entertainment extra special.  I liked how the workers were always cleaning, never a dirty spot or smeared window.  Loved the violin and cello entertainment, they were awesome, need to keep them on that cruise line.  All the staff were excellent, no complaints here.  Would recommend this cruise ship to everyone.  Thanks for making this a great experience.

We enjoyed our trip with a few exceptions. We were really looking forward to snorkeling on Grand Turk, but weren't able to dock due to wind, so that was a drag. Food has kinda gone down hill since our last Carnival cruise, it was OK but that's about it. A lot of food that used to be included is now an extra cost, and a lot of the food served in the dining room was served cold. So we found ourselves going to the buffet to get hot food and to get a variation of something different off the dinner menu, because the dinner menu didn't change much from night to night. But these are minor things, and all in all the cruise and the entertainment was pretty good. Nice ship,  great cruise director so all things considered a lot of fun.  

It's hard not to like any cruise but I have to say I was a little disappointing with this one overall. I'll start with the positives, the ship was clean and the staff did a marvelous job. Reminded me of trips of old where they took an actual interest in you, called you by name, and entertained us during meals, particularly dinner. The layout was a little more constricted than past cruises by design I would say with few of the signature large "open" areas of other lines, but not a deal breaker. I also did not care for the food much but that seems to be happening on other ships as well. The biggest concern I had was the fact that 9 of the 12 in our party got some sort of cold/flu like symptoms putting good moods at a premium. No clue why, but some feverish and others picked a nasty cough we couldn't shake. The crowd was big but fun loving, but the music level in the main pool area was beyond loud. I'm from the loud music generation so don't discount my take. The calypso singers were ridiculously off key every day which was very surprising based on other entertainment throughout the ship. This coupled with the volume choice led many of our party to seek other areas to settle in. The other thing I didn't like was the size of the balcony. They charge a lot of money for them and this one was much smaller than other lines, barely enough room to sit. Again, I don't ever NOT have a good time on a cruise but I think I'll stick to the other lines I've been on for future cruises.

this is our 4th cruise, the breeze was nothing fancy, an entertainment was not good at all, the crew on ship was awesome, the food was nothing to write home about, the ports were awesome, yes we had a great time,  but next time, need a fancier ship

We thought a newer, larger Carnival ship might provide better food and entertainment than the other Carnival Cruises we've been on. We were disappointed. The food was mediocre and the buffet was very limited in it's offerings and in it's hours. The entertainment was at the low end of professional.

In addition, there was NO adult pool and many areas were very smokey.

Must say the staff was excellent - helpful, cheerful, and very accommodating and the ship was clean and well kept.

In spite of all of this, we had a nice time and made the best of it so we enjoyed the cruise

Really enjoyed the Breeze experience, even though the weather was windy and overcast for 1/2 the trip.  Nightly shows were very professional. Lionel at the Punchliner comedy club was very funny. Percy Crews not so much. Excellent food. Joined the spa for entrance to private pool, steam and sauna. No fee while on other cruise lines... but due to the bad weather, I had to warm up someplace. Good fitness center, although no Zumba classes. Liked check-in for sign and sail card at the airport.  BIG lines at the cruise port.

Shore excursions we the best in Cayman and Cozumel, Ship was clean and comfortable. Our state room bed was worn. The cabin next door had a screaming crying infant keeping us awake at 2 4 6 am.

This was our first cruise and I expected a bit more. I expected more elegance in the dining rooms, larger pools or an adult pool area, and more public bathrooms. Our stateroom was beautiful and kept very clean. Absolutely loved Guy's Burgers and it was the one place that kept moving, would have been nice if it were open later. The organization at the ports was amazing to me, never waiting in lines to get off and everything was explained completely when we weren't able to pull into one of the scheduled ports. My husband and I were very impressed with the energy and presence of the cruise director and his staff, they were involved with everything and remembered everyone.

The boat was really nice, the experience boarding was AWFUL  it took us over 2 hours to board the ship.  Ship was really crowded, but nice.  Our steward, Helena, I think that's how she spells it, was so sweet and took great care of us.  She made our trip very enjoyable.  All in all, we were satisfied, and have already booked another cruise with Carnival for next Feb!!

The ship was one hundred times cleaner then the port city, thank you for that.  Ninety eight percent of your staff were ridiculously accommodating, many times I felt guilty at how well they cared for us.  The volumes of eateries and pubs made it difficult to decide what to do next, and when it came time to relax the interior and exterior furniture were extremely comfortable and inviting.  Prior to booking we were told this would not be a one time thing, I had no idea. Thank you.

Ship is very clean and staff are hospitable.  Would be nice if the steward's carts weren't parked next to our entry every day.  Staff needs to implement a much better program and organization for muster drills and disembarkation.  Getting off the ship was truly an experience we'd rather not repeat.  Good is decent, the Italian restaurant is worth every stop!  Portions are large!   Smoking areas are numerous for those who indulge (we don't).  Entertainment was OK.  Very very disappointed that no onboard ship stores were open except candy store.  

It was everything very good, good food, good crew, good activities. The casino was also fine, but definetelly the best part was Ben Gentry show at Piano Bar, no doubt about it.

The Ship itself was beautiful and the crew was very helpful. The food was good except it was a daily repeat of yesterday with the exception of have a different meat each night. I can't believe out of 8 nights not 1 time did they have mashed potatoes. Food selection for Room Service was very limited.

My other gap is we lost $120 for an excursion in San Juan because another ship was docking and that cause the Breeze gangway to be closed for about an hour. That made us miss that excursion. Carnival said they couldn't reimburse us our money because we didn't buy from them and Excursion Group said it wasn't their fault we missed it. Anyways we are out of $120. Makes me not to want to go with Carnival again and when we go cruising again we won't buy excursion again.

This whole cruise was disappointing for me and will probably not be cruising with Carnival again.  :(
