I booked a guaranteed min-suite with queen-sized bed and a bathtub.  I got a handicap cabin with a shower, hand rails and single beds.  I will not use or sail on Princess again.

I'd actually give it a 4.5 stars. The ONLY negative was the bed. It felt like we were sleeping on a board. Everything else was wonderful! We had 2 fantastic waiters that made our dining experience the best! We would take another Princess Cruise but we would make sure we check the bed situation before we booked it.

I have been on 13 other cruises over the last 14 years so I have a pretty good idea of what to expect.  Princess and specifically Caribbean Princes exceeded my expectations in a several areas.  One was the disembarkation process.  By far the best I've ever experienced. 

The crew were all very helpful, from the front desk to the dining room. 

The only criticism I have is the Crown Grill.   It was rather disappointing...   Service VERY slow and dining area very understaffed.  Our waiter was also responsible for 6 or 7 other tables...  Usually in the specialty restaurants the waiters are not overwhelmed...  Perhaps someone called in sick?

That said, the service in the main dining areas was very good.  Food came out quickly and correctly each time.  The wait staff very friendly and attentive.

If not for the Crown Grill experience, I'd probably rate this cruise a 5 star.

This was our first experience leaving from Bayport and thankfully, our last! The boarding process was line after line, as an elite and suite passenger, not something expected. The food on board was below par and the stateroom furniture was stained.  Many crew members seemed tired and rightfully so, as they were at the end of their tours. Of course, overall, the crew was exceptional, friendly and warm as they typically are. This ship for sure needs some TLC and updating!

Dear Travelers,  We sailed in the Carribean Princess to the above ports.  We took a private tour at each of the ports that was not connected with the cruise company.

At Roatan we hired a catamaran captain to take us snorkeling and sighseeing.  the snorkeling was good, but not spectacular and unfortunately the cat was very old.  We were promised lunch witch turned out to be a glass of rum punch and a small bag of spicy plantain.

     At Belize we had a jungle walk for maybe a mile that was not difficult and then a float trip on innertubes through some remarkable caves and ending in a river.  Well worth the price of $50/person.

     In Cozumel we drove a jeep around much of the island and we were promised snorkeling, but the ocean was way too rough so it was mostly sight seeing.  Probably not worth the price we paid but all persons we dealt with were very nice and they tried to be accommodating.  Attended a tequila testing, tasting that also well below par and were trying to sell us Tequila at outrageous prices..

    The ship was excellent for food and entertainment, but there were few activities to do on board that were not passive like watching a movie or entertainers.  Good service but wait staff we had were not really friendly and seemed more interested in getting us all to leave as quickly as possible.

THIS WAS MY 6TH CRUISE 2ND WITH PRINCESS & WILL BE MY LAST WITH PRINCESS CRUISE LINE. 

Room & room service excellent, Food average, Beverage Package Extras paid on Internet in advance, Beverage Package $8.00 per day was offered on ship for $7.00. Paid for bottled water to be delivered to room & B-Day Package paid $135.00 was not delivered until I complained at service desk. Three times ask about the coffee card I paid $35.00, never received it. 

EXCURSIONS

I recommend booking excursions on ship. If you return late the ship will not leave until the excursion returns. My last excursion returned late & was required to walk back to ship, not knowing the time I was one of four that was 30 min late & was greeted by ship staff making unnecessary comments about being late. Perhaps comments should have been directed towards the excursion staff. As a result I was selected to be the last group to exit the ship, the group I was traveling with exited the ship 1-1/2 hr prior. THANKS PRINCESS CRUISE LINE. 

We enjoyed the week but may not choose Princess for future cruises.  We prefer smaller ships.  The crew and service was great.  Food in the buffet was adequate but the serving arrangement there was inefficient causing lines and delays.  Using one entry point was frustrating.

Good cruise but not as much sun time because of clouds and wind.  Ship was very clean and wait staff was eager to help.  Food was some what question and what was good together.  But a lot of choices..

I will definitely be going again.  First cruise I learned not to try to do everything all at once, it will tire you out. LOL  The food was scrumptious and crew were friendly and helpful.  What I liked most about it was the friendliness of the crew.  Not one person seemed agitated when asked a question.  There was one really exhausting frustrating mess up.. at the photo booth ... on Monday we order duplicate prints of the embarkment photo - when we went to pick it up on Wednesday - noone could find it so they reordered.  Told by Sara to check back the next day.  When we checked back - still not there.  Noone could find the order so Antonio reordered and within twenty minutes, Antonio, had the photos in hand.  Because of the frustration, I feel like we should have gotten some special prices on the photos.

The Princess cruise to the Western Caribbean was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the entertainment and food were excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our time on this cruise and would recommend it to anyone.  

We really enjoyed this trip and will join Princess cruise again near future.  The Food and Service are Excellent. Everything is excellent.  The princess cruise did a excellent job. We have no complain at all. Thanks.

We were overall surprising disappointed with Princess because we had heard it was one of the better cruise lines. We could not get fixed dining and the fine dining was limited to only one of three dining rooms where there was always a wait. Room service many times would not answer the phone, and calling customer services was no help. Customer Services and the Excursion desk always had a line with not enough staff. The shows in the theater had not enough seating even when we would show up 45 minutes early. The ship was just too crowded and understaffed. We have cruised with Holland America (the very best), Carnival, and Norwegian before and Princess doesn't measure up. We have three more cruises booked for this year. Two are with Holland America to Alaska and the Panama Canal, and one Caribbean with Carnival. We will not cruise with Princess again.

The quality of the food was definitely great and the food choices exceeded my expectations. I was impressed with the healthy choices available. I also liked the mature crowd compared to other cruise lines.

We cruise a lot.  This was definitely not one of our best.  It was relaxing and enjoyable, but it lacked excitement and fun people.  Most passengers were older than us... (and we are pretty old). Everyone we met was pleasant and the crew was great. 

My wife and I really enjoyed this cruise ship with Caribbean Princess. Great facility, very friendly crew member and impeccable service.  The food was the best. We also enjoyed the shows, casino and many activities on the ship.

We thoroughly enjoyed the cruise. The Princess staff was extremely friendly and provided excellent service in all areas.  The Ports were very interesting and accommodating to the Cruisers.  Probably one of the real highlights was the evening entertainment of Shows that were scheduled.  Broadway equivalent.

We enjoy Princess and are heading out again in March to South America.

We booked this cruise mostly because of the GREAT price, though we were a little unsure about Princess Cruise Line.  From embarkation to disembarkation we were pleasantly surprised.  The stateroom and other decor was a little worn (she is going in for revitalization in March 2016) but everything was super clean and tidy.  Food was very good in the Dining Room but we did not care for the buffet much.  Entertainment was pretty good, too.  Sailing out of Houston means crossing the Gulf of Mexico before getting to warm enough climate for pool and feels like a loss of a day going and a day coming back.  Prefer sailing out of Florida for that reason.  Overall, we would book on Princess again for sure.

Very good experience. Loved outline of ship. Cruise was extremely joyful. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful when I asked questions. Have been to Cozumel and stores have not changed. Do not like yelling at you when you are walking down the street. Belize and Roatan were lovely in snorkeling. Will use Princess cruise lines again in future.

I have never come home from a vacation feeling so disappointed.  We had a balcony mini suite.  The price was good and the room was great and then it went downhill from there.  This was our first cruise and we were very excited and had heard great things about what to expect for service.  Service in the dining room was great but service in the bars, pool side and room steward were not good at all.  We purchased the all inclusive drink package for $788 for the two of us and that was a huge let down.  Our drinks never had full shots in them, we couldn't get anyone to wait on us and it was a pain to hand over our cruise cards with every drink.  We finally went up to the poolside bar and asked the bartender why our drinks didn't have the proper shots in them and he admitted they didn't.  From that point forward, we watched every poor.  I don't think we got our money out of the card.  We cam into port 12 hours earlier then expected but couldn't get off the boat until the next day. It wouldn't have been a problem except the closed the casino and the bars 2 hours before getting to port so we went 12 hours with nothing to do. The entertainment was mediocre at best.  The ship was old and missing some key features. The casino was tight and we lost lots of $ over the 7 days. The 2nd 2 last day we ran out of tooth paste and asked our room steward if he could get us some.  Any hotel at any price would have had this available for a guest but our steward told us we had to go buy it from the store.  The destinations were great and I would definitely go back to all 3 places for longer visits.  Not sure if I will try another cruise for awhile.  I do believe this was an exception and not the norm but we paid so much expecting a great vacation and were so bummed to come home after spending $4000 or more to be disappointed.
