We enjoyed the week but may not choose Princess for future cruises. We prefer smaller ships. The crew and service was great. Food in the buffet was adequate but the serving arrangement there was inefficient causing lines and delays. Using one entry point was frustrating.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
main dining room and buffet food was so-so; the International café was consistently wonderful. Our one dinner in the specialty steak restaurant was great!
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Would like to see more and varied activities...classes, lectures. etc. Because of the large number of passengers, many activities were overcrowded. Far too much "lecturing" on shopping at "cruise approved" Princess on-shore stores! Movies "under the stars" seemed to be enjoyed by many.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The Princess performers were very talented and voices blended exceptionally well. The "orchestra" was terrific and costuming and staging first class. Personally, I thought the shows were a bit frenetic, however.

Service and Staff
5 out of 5
VERY pleasant, courteous, and efficient staff throughout the ship!!
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
More than one stateroom we were in needed refurbishing...linens, upholstery, bathrooms. There was an accumulation of mold/mildew in the bathrooms. Regarding ship design...we (and MANY others) were unhappy that the main theater was too small to accommodate all who wanted to attend the shows.
We went on the Pacific Princess 5 years ago, One sector of world cruise. would love to go again, pity the ship doesn't come to Australia enough only when doing world cruises.
If you like Princess but enjoy or prefer smaller ships, may I recommend Pacific Princess. We are Elite members and went on the Pacific a year ago and loved it. The staff are fabulous and the lines extremely short, you get the same wonderful service and same great itineraries!!
