Book any specialty restaurants before you go, we tried to book on the first day only to be told they were fully booked for the week.

Honestly, the ship does NOT feel like a ship. In fact rather that of a sophisticated hotel/shopping mall. If you want authentic cruising, or you are wanting to be awe struck by the beauty of the ship.. then please save yourself the money. Everything is dark moody blue, with muted grey and browns. This follows throughout the entire ship, it’s just so drab, moody and boring.

Be nice and friendly to the staff. I know gratuities are now included but we still tipped as we went if we were very well looked after.

On sea days, get your beds early. Beds reserved early and staff indifferent to moving anybody. There was a story going around of an incident when a member of staff did move some items. Cannot verify if true.

Allow yourself plenty of time to do everything you want onboard, especially on a shorter cruise. The daily schedule was really helpful in looking at all the events for the next day and planning what we wanted to do onboard, it was easy to miss something so plan ahead.

Expect to pay extra for good food. Take your 1litre per person of alcohol when you board. Don’t take drink package. If you’ve sailed Celebrity, RCI, OR NCL you will be disappointed.
