Smooth, straight from plane to coach to port. No waiting time

Food and Dining

Buffet had the smallest selection I’ve ever seen. Food very repetitive. The 3 breakfast pastries very dry and no fillings didn’t change the whole 2 weeks. Decent bacon & sausage. No live omelette station! Only pre made omelettes, ham omelette had no ham. Great if you like roast beef and yorkshires, served 3 times in 4 days.
We’ve sailed 4 cruise lines post covid and seen the cut backs in all but P&O should be ashamed of this pathetic offering they call a buffet!
Pizza and burgers were great on lido deck but constantly running out of food. Bad/lazy management.
The Grab and Go never had any food in it.
Main dining room portions were very small and bland, no seasoning at all.
Beach House & Glass House were excellent value for extra cost. Large portions, quality meats and exceptional service. Ate here most of cruise.
Crystal Room Bar

Bar service VERY slow. Bar server very rude and snatched cruise hard from husbands hand after being called to take drink order. Don’t expect the correct or good cocktails in here. Staff need customer service training
Horizon Restaurant

Pathetic excuse for a buffet. If you’ve sailed any other major cruise line you will be extremely disappointed. Blink and you may miss it!Poor quality of pastries, pancakes inedible. No live cooking stations. Tiny portions of condiments served in annoying little dishes.Only using a very small fraction off buffet area for breakfast. Closed half of this at 9am one morning causing chaos at remaining area! Who does this when its open till 11.00 for breakfast? Not any better for for evening buffet and late even worse for late night snack.Labelling of food seriously lacking for those with allergies etc.
The Glass House

Starters were pretty bland. Sharing meat feast for 2 was amazing, beef short ribs with 2 different cuts of beef. Well worth extra cost.
The Beach House

Best eatery on the ship. Definitely worth the extra cost. Tried fillet on lava rock, brisket, ribs, sizzler plates, all superb dishes. Excellent service, highly recommend
Peninsular Restaurant

Small portions and bland food. Same menu as Meridian. Small steak and a lot of chicken dishes regulars on menu. Nothing well seasoned, especially potatoes.

Singers, bands and comedian all pretty good. Didn’t see any shows, not our thing
Service and Staff

While the servers in pay dining restaurants were excellent, others were average and some downright rude.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
I found Britannia the hardest ship I’ve been on to navigate. Inside areas seemed quite segregated from each other, no flow from one area to another. No stairs on midship lifts was a nuisance.
Open deck areas cluttered with wind breaking partitions and unnecessary plant pots, making it hard to walk around when passengers start to move sun beds. View of bow of ship on open deck obstructed by The Retreat.
Generally clean, however never once saw anyone wiping down stair handrails, lifts or most disturbingly cleaning/ moping toilets. Some toilet floors hadn’t seen a mop in a while!
Cabin / Stateroom

Large inside cabin on Deck 14. Quiet location until daily announcement at 7.45am! Well appointed with plenty of sockets & storage. Large shower and comfy bed. All kept clean by great cabin steward.
Ship tip
Expect to pay extra for good food. Take your 1litre per person of alcohol when you board. Don’t take drink package. If you’ve sailed Celebrity, RCI, OR NCL you will be disappointed.
Jumped in shared taxi down to Valley Church beach for $20pp return. Several ship tours were on beach and the sun loungers had sold out, so our taxi driver took us down to Fryers beach, at no extra cost. Chairs were cheaper $20 for 2 with brolly. Beach guy was doing 2 rum punches for $5! Equally stunning beach, thanks to Blondie our wonderful driver. Cheapest beach day of cruise.
Caught water taxi to Grand Anse, $5pp each way. One of the best beaches in the Caribbean imo. Fantastic swimming. 2 chairs & umbrella $30. George our beach guy kept our drinks flowing all day, $6/7 cocktails, be warned they are strong!! Toilets at market behind beach $1. Lovely ladies selling their spices.
