Review summary

After waiting 3 years to resume cruising and having our Fjord cruise on Aurora cancelled 9 weeks before, Britannia was not a choice that I had ever considered previously but we thoroughly enjoyed our time on board.

The Headliners on this cruise where absolutely fantastic.

Service and Staff

The staff aboard Britannia where very polite, friendly and helpful. Sometimes the service in the restaurant was a little slow, but we all have to start somewhere and I think the waiting staff where only just starting out.

Ship Quality

The absence of a midship staircase above deck 6 was greatly noticed especially when you only needed to go down one or two decks. The standard of cleanliness was up to P&O’s usual high standard.

Disembarkation

Cannot fault the disembarkation procedure at all. We had been given the time of 9:40. The weather was great so we sat out on deck waiting for our time to arrive. At 9:15 the message over the speaker system asked for everyone to make their way to the gangway as disembarkation had gone extremely well and only a few people still remained on the ship. The luggage hall was virtually empty when we arrived so that didn’t hold us up either.
