Except for the few "formal" nights it is very casual. People wore jeans, shorts, sneakers to the main dining room many nights, so dressy clothes are not needed.

Go on the Northstar but sign up early. Walk all over the ship to find all the fun areas. Prepare to get lost.

Book it highly recommended that's for people that have not cruised yet, also someone about to sail don't miss out on the shows and the activities, and especially all that fabulous food.

I will never book another future cruise on-board. The new policy of non-refundable deposits and $100 charge to change a reservation makes me reluctant to book as far in advance as we usually do. The cruise 'salesman' did explain all of the ends and outs of the new policies, but after all was said and done I felt like I had been hustled. I felt better about buying my new car than I did booking a cruise.

It would of been an alright cruise if there wouldn’t be so many people on board however it’s a new and big ship I really don’t think the crew was ready for it so just be ready to stand in long lines for everything and definitely make reservations online months before your cruise book excursions months before also to ensure you get what you want and the crew needs to treat all ages the same not ignore the younger crowds

Ship is too large, with too many passengers. Chaotic, misinformation, long lines, language barriers, and the excursions are too short in time. Costly also, too rushed. Ask question, the staff are not forthcoming. Pearl Island, the beach was lost pretty much, not worth the excursion. The Hilton in a Nassau has a great resort pass for a day....we decided to hangout, gave lunch, be st a pool that was not crowded, and it was great. I urge you to check it out. Very relaxing and great fresh seafood! OMG! We would not cruise with RCL ever again based upon our personal experiences.

this may sound stupid or brash, but if you want something from the bar, show, meal, don't be afraid to grab a staff member and just ask for it. there seems to be a bit of a shortage of staff running around to get drinks, coffee, pillows, what ever, but if you ask, they are more than happy to get.

We left out of New York so I assumed we would need coats we were not outside enough to bother dragging a coat along. Wearing a hoodie would have been fine.

Make reservations for My Time Dining before cruising. You can also request the same table and servers if you are happy with the first night!

Bring walkie talkies if you are in a group! It makes communicated much easier. The ship is very large and it is hard to find someone if you don't know where they are.

The ship is huge! It was our first cruise and many people said that the lines were longer than the lines at smaller ships. We were very satisfied .

The only advise I have are for people with very young children, I do suggest leaving them home. There is so much for the adults to do and I believe that a lot of Mothers with babies and young children did not get to enjoy there trip. These type of trips are geared for adults and not young children. Take them to Disney World and not a cruise.
