Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Very disappointed in quality of food. This is the first Holland America we have sailed on. All other cruises have been Norwegian which has much better choices and better quality of food. I try to eat healthy with good protein and fresh veggies which was almost impossible with what they serve. I do not eat sweets and they had very few sugar free desserts and basically for fresh fruit was melon melon melon. I asked for fresh strawberries and blueberries and usually received them in a timely manner.

Again, comparing to Norwegian, not nearly as good.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff that we encountered was helpful and friendly

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Loved the size of the ship and the laid back atmosphere. All we saw was clean

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We always book an inside cabin, saves money and I like sleeping in a cave. Our cabin was 342 which was a few doors from help yourself laundry. We had ample storage, closet space, and seating. Very pleased with our room.

We enjoyed the “spit” but was not willing to pay the amount charged for the bus I to town. The town is losing out on business by this charge.
