Ship: Amsterdam

Cabin type: Balcony

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

Very scenic and relaxing. Enjoyed the Crows Nest and dining room for dinner. Vista Suite was worth the price. Nice big windows and usable veranda. Ship has comfy places to get away from the crowd. Baby boomer era or blues music would have been a wonderful addition. Nice hot tubs and pool area.

Completely contrived shopping stop. Pretty. Skip the bear excursion. Waste of time. They neglected to mention you only see bears late in the summer. Ripoff.

Anchorage, Alaska

Good museums. Big city feel.

Homer, Alaska

Ok place. Good museums. Unless you are a strong walker, the bus stops are silly and not near the museums.

Kodiak, Alaska

Pretty. Nice church. Not much to do.

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

Jeannette the interpreter just babbles and repeats herself.

Sitka, Alaska

Not much to do in town except shop. The national historic museum quite a long walk but nice. Friends enjoyed bear and bird preserves and native dancing. Found a taxi.

Victoria, British Columbia
