Take advantage of the ships entertainment. It's some of the best in the industry. If you forget to book the shows in advance, don't worry, you can book them all in the "On air" venue once onboard the ship.

There were people that put a towel and a pair of shoes on a deck chair, and would not come back. The rule is 30 minutes, but honestly, people would not come back for 6-8 hours. Don’t do that.

Pay up front for staff tips and gratuity because the service is well worth it

Before the cruise - Get familiar with all activities/shows available especially the days the ship is "at sea"
SaltyHog
Reserve all dining and shows in advance.

The elevators can get busy and full. If you're going one deck up or down, just take the stairs. Or Take the ride up or down even if it's the opposite way you're going. What goes up, must come down and vice-versa. You'll be waiting for awhile otherwise. And please let people off first, don't rush to get on.

Make reservations early in the process to ensure you get the show and dinner times you want.
SanJoseDan
Check the Show schedule on Day 1 or earlier and make reservations for the Showtimes and days you most prefer.

One piece of advise is : book everything that you can before boarding (shows, dining etc)

Pay the money to valet check your bag to your final destination if flying. It makes walking off the ship easy with express walk off. Also download the mobile passport app for going through customs. We were off the ship and ready for our ride to the airport in less than 10 minutes.

My best tip for someone going on Allure of the Seas would be to try as much as you can. On Oasis Class ships, you cannot do it all on a 7 night cruise. That being said, you need to do everything you can while on board. I once heard a cruise director say, "You can sleep when you get home," which is just to say that there is so much to do on board and you should try to take advantage of all of it.

Make use of the cruise compass, it was handy to help plan your day. Ask questions of staff if you have them (we thought they were happy to help!)

Do your homework before you get on the ship, so you don't spend you cruise figuring it out!!

Take time to tour the ship. It is beautiful with many attractions to see and enjoy.

Choose early dining- 515pm. This allowed us to make all our shows and the wait staff was accommodating.

Reserve seats for shows

Take your time and enjoy don't stress out rushing to try and fit everything in because that's impossible unless you do a back to back cruise on the Allure .....

Go to the Solarium for a healthy breakfast and no crowds.

The Solarium Bar is a nice place to relax and get away from the sun for a while. The Viking Lounge is a nice place to visit at night.
