SanJoseDan, thank you for the information and details. They really add meaning to the ratings. Glad you had a mostly excellent cruise.

Movies on Allure, other than a few broadcast movies, were expensive. We had brought a laptop so we watched Amazon prime, mostly, and some cable company movies. We were paying for the internet bandwidth and we had the laptop for business, so we used them to lower the movie cost. Basically the same as in a hotel; pay for their movies or pay for their higher speed internet bandwidth.

I forgot to add a comment about the entertainment. On previous RCCL cruises, movies in cabin were free. On this cruise, there was a pay-per-view system (similar to hotels) that charged a fee for movies. We had taken a Princess cruise in March, a few weeks after the Oscar Awards presentations, and all film viewings were free (in cabin, theater, or up on deck). We had the opportunity to watch many Oscar nominated movies and performances for free. RCCL also now has popcorn carts at the theater entrance charging $2.50 per box (also free on Princess). I don't often watch films while cruising, but after seeing (or having the opportunity see) "Three Billboards.......", "The Shape of Water", "Darkest Hour". Coco", "The Greatest Showman", "Victoria and Abdul", and many others ( it was a 15 day Panama Canal Crossing cruise). the difference in cost between Princess and RCCL was striking.
