Have people get on the ship in stages. It was very crowded on that very first day to eat. Wonderful after that. Plenty of places to eat for the number of people on board.

Just make sure that you book your reservations before you go on board because sometimes they fill up.

Get tired of the noise, crowds? For a time of solace, check out the library.

Book your show reservations and evening dining ahead of the cruise. Our friends we traveled with did this for us and it made the trip more enjoyable. Always had a common time for the group together at the end of the day.

We really enjoyed hanging out on the Promenade at the Bow and Stern and people watching in the evening - there was always something interesting going on!

Try Giovanni"s Restaurant, the Schooner bar, the Bow & Stern Pub< Sorrento's and all the shops on Deck 5.

Study the map before you embark! We did a lot of walking before we figured things out. Do recreational activities early, before the lines are long and the sun is too hot.

More clothes than needed, especially for formal nights.

Take advantage of everything the ship has to offer. Try everything at least once. Try all the restaurants.

Excellent experience for this wonderful cruise ship. Make sure you book all the dining time and shows prior to the cruise sailing.

Get a suite and enjoy all the amazing benefits

Some of the "tips" about the ship I found online were outdated due to the ship refit a few years back. For example, the rear public balconies are gone.

If you choose My Time dining, book your dinner reservations before the cruise as many of the more popular time slots fill up quickly. This wasn't a big issue for us as we just had to adjust our schedules a bit. Also, definitely pre book any shows as they also fill up quickly.

Don't believe the negative you might read about big ships being so crowded and to big it wasn't and someone said Allure was at full capacity.
IconicMom
Be prepared to walk. Don't bother with uncomfortable shoes. Expect to take at least 3 full days in order to have a chance to see the entire ship and enjoy all the venues, before you feel like you've seen it all.

Book all reservations (shows, and dining) early
