Review summary

Overall, a great experience and relaxing vacation. This was my 3rd cruise with Royal Carribean, and I will definitely go on more with them.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Overall, the food was good. A little more variety in the Windjammer would be nice, changing it up a bit daily. Specialty restaurants were very nice. At Chops I felt rushed through the meal. I found the waiter to not be as friendly as I have previously experienced, and felt scolded when I could not finish my main course. Giovanni's was better in terms of service and speed. 150 was great. Well paced. I don't want to say this is good or bad, but in each place after the wait staff came by to check if we were finished, and we said we were, it took a long time for our plates to be cleared.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Pools, wave riders, track. We really enjoyed the sushi making class.

Entertainment

All of them were very good. We particularly enjoyed Mama Mia, the diving shows, guitarist in Bow and Stern

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
For the most part they were all good. A couple of standouts were Collin and Albert in the main dining room, and Vinaj in the Royal Shop who went out of his way to figure out a way to fix my glasses until we got into a port or home. One negative experience was on the Rising Tide bar when we were not given any attention while we were standing on the experience. When confronted, the reasoning was that people standing are usually only on it for the ride. We were standing because there were no more seats. No apology just the excuse. I was given a complementary beverage and it was presented with "here you go" as if we were bothering her.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everything looked very clean and well kept. I was concerned that given the size of the ship that it would be overwhelming, but found it to be very comfortable and easy to navigate. Given the size, we walked a lot!!

Cabin / Stateroom

Well maintained and John did a good job keeping it clean.

Ship tip

Enjoy the ship. There is a lot to see and do.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Our port of departure. Very well organized and efficient in moving people through

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

The area around the port was very nice. We did the horseback riding which was really nice although extremely hot.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

This port was great. We did the cultural experience and really enjoyed it and the city itself. A lot of very interesting and historical things to see and experience. It was fun to try a traditional snack as well

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
Beautiful island with more than enough activities and fun. We visited Paradise Cove, which was gorgeous and peaceful, and a Haitian village which was very interesting. It was fun to experience some of the traditional culture and taste some of their foods.

Disembarkation

Quick, efficient and extremely well organized. The option of checking in to our flight home on board and having our luggage taken to the airport for us was a fantastic option that I will absolutely use again.
