maybe bigger is better / because we liked INDEPENDENCE OF THE SEAS better overall especially the entertainment the cruise director was awesome

Don't book shore excursions on board. Identical tours readily available at the docks for one-third to one-fourth what Royal Caribbean was charging.

Make your dinner reservations online ahead of time with the My Time Dining option. We had our pick of dinner times when we saw others waiting in line to get in the dining room.

Stay away from the pool if possible. Its either over crowded or covered in a layer of cigarette smoke.

Definitely read the daily activities that they leave in your room to plan your day. Also, find out about the excursions by reading the reviews, etc. Also, walk around the ship to familiarize yourself with all the areas.

Get to the shows early to grab good seating, Also on the days at sea grab a chair in the morning because the pool deck gets very busy and the chairs go fast.. If you are a drinker then get the drink package, this saved me a fortune.

Don't forget to stop by at the area where the band play for people to dance Walk back and forth on the 5th level to listen to the guitarist Don't forget to get the yogurt cone on the corner of 11th level, near the swimming pool. It is good

This ship is so large, you rarely felt movement. I saw some w/patches behind their ears & do not think they were necessary @ all.... Not a small boat by any means & yet small enough to navigate your way around easily, once you knew where everything was. Strauss Dining was Amazing!!! RECOMMEND A+++

even though we love children, my husband and I loved the adult area after a day off the ship, we enjoyed having a rum punch, relaxing in the comfortable chairs on the deck, watching the island and water as the ship set sail . Then we soaked in the large clean hot tub before dark.
