Everything good but the food

Sail Date: March 29, 2015

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

Nice ship, great service, very good entertainment.  The quality and variety of the food offerings were a major disappointment.  We had a better meal on our flight home from San Juan than any meal we ate on board the ship.  Let that sink in for a moment ....... airline food better than cruise ship food.

Ship Quality
nicely outfitted and in good condition
Food and Dining
Cafeteria quality, even in the fine dining room
Service and Staff
Waiters, cabin attendant, crew all friendly, helpful. Top notch!
Entertainment
Nice variety and good performances
Onboard Activities
Pretty much standard stuff
Destinations and Excursions
Too much emphasis on shopping for jewelry
Cabin / Stateroom
Convenient location and no noise. Very comfortable bed
San Juan, Puerto Rico
We had little time to explore
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Nothing but shopping
Basseterre, St. Kitts
Nice 3 hour tour. Not much else to do
Oranjestad, Aruba
Some of the best beaches anywhere
Willemstad, Curacao
Skip the tours, head directly to Cabana Beach by taxi.

Tip

Don't book shore excursions on board. Identical tours readily available at the docks for one-third to one-fourth what Royal Caribbean was charging.
