Great first time cruise! by wagnerwj

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

I would highly recommend this cruise.  This was my wife and I's first cruise.  We usually like to go to a Caribbean destination and enjoy the local culture for a time.  Here we were able to experience several islands.  We loved the late night adult comedy shows.  The parades on the promenade.  Just spending time together in our cabin watching the waves go by on the balcony.  Clo, the activities director, was so much fun and amazing!  We tried the first night in the formal dining area.  We didn't like the lack of privacy being seated right next to others and the time it took to get through a whole meal with multiple courses.  We enjoyed every other night eating at our own pace and our own table in the Windjammer dining area.

Honey moon vacation by Cruiser577

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

We had beautiful weather, excursions were great and everyone was friendly.  We really enjoyed our waiter and assistant waiter.  Otis and Shane made our trip, they were fun and professional at the same time and they helped/made the honeymoon couple feel great on there first cruise.

Caribbean Paradise by Manthony1254

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

This cruise was wonderful. My husband and I chose to do a cruise for our honeymoon, and having never been on a cruise we didn't know what to expect. These islands were beautiful and for better with each stop! The entertainment on the ship was never ending and the atmosphere was always fun and exciting. We also had the my time dining and after the first night we requested to come back at the same time with the same serving team. The food and service in the main dining area was top notch. We couldn't have planned or asked for a better honeymoon and have already booked a second cruise!

Excellent across the board! by thecaptainjenny

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

This was the second Southern Caribbean cruise for me and my fiance.  It was fantastic from start to finish.  The food, the entertainment and (especially) the ports of call were all phenomenal.  I would recommend Royal Caribbean to anyone.  It is a great combination of top-notch service and a fun, casual environment.  Can't wait to book another one soon!

I wouldn't recommend to any one. by bugsharmony

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Here is what I had to say to Royal (Other cruise lines were much better):

1. Provide clean towels and wash clothes with out having to ask them.

2. Clean the stateroom

3. The state room bath rooms need to be cleaned daily because of the moisture mildew and mold grow fast.

4. BETTER BUFFET FOOD. Really we had Spanish rice, pasta, and ham for breakfast lunch and dinner. Why? Can we get more three fruit options. Add some lime to the key lime pie that you only had once the entire week....

5. Filter the drinking water. the last two days the water tasted like dirt.

6. Can you get some songs from 2005 and new on the Karaoke list?

7. Can you play a mix of music in the club.

8. Where were the sail away parties?

9. You should have staff tell people not to sit on the bottom of the steps and block the stairs and door ways.

10. Better description of the shore excursions. Please don't call it a beach tour if I am not going to make it to beach, please say a flamingo tour and I will not get to see any flamingos.

Overall:   The ship has seen better days. (My understanding the ship will be going to dry dock this October.) The ship it was clean but  the common area chairs,  seating, cushions etc showed a lot of wear and tear.

I would not recommend this cruise to any one. We were on this ship when it was new and we understand it's being refurbished soon but it seems it should've been done a few years ago!

Birthday cruise by Cruiser713

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The only negative comment I can say is our wine choice at dinner. We purchased the premium package and was drinking Clos du Bois Chardonnay but couldn't get it at dinner, unless we purchased the bottle. This made no sense. So, we were forced to bring in wine to the dining area and only have one glass during dinner. The ship should look into this.

Adventure of the Seas Cruise by reybrown

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Our experience on the Adventure of the Seas was enjoyable.  My wife and I celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary and I must say the hospitality was awesome.  I found the ship to b e a little dated in some areas and the food in the Windjammer was nothing to write home about.  But overall we had a great time and found the cruise to be memorable.

Love these ports by beachbound7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

This is our second trip on this ship and at these ports. We don't have a problem going out on our own in a cab and going to a beach that might be on an excursion. $4-5 per person in a cab is not bad. Royal does a great job making sure there is lots to chose from to do at the ports and on board the ship. If you like to go in the water all of these ports offer great options. St Thomas is a good shopping Island, and Megan's bay is beautiful. St Kitts was a good place to get in the water and snorkel, Day at sea is always a good time. Curacao has lots of good history and a few good beaches. Aruba has some great snorkeling with a ship to dive on. Great ship great ports!

ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE by intervideo

The Adventure of the Seas has seen better days. It needs a full refurbishment from inside out. The night events at the theater were not the greatest either.

The dining staff on Adventure of the Seas by cherylgauvin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

We can not express enough about the dining room staff, our waiter was Otis and he was absolutely fabulous..............  We actually all had tears in our eyes when we had to say goodbye to him on our last day.  He was just so pleasant and explained all the choices of dishes at each meal and was so accommodating to our special requests.

Great Cruise by princarroll

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

This cruise was great!  The best aspect of course were the excursions! Went on an excursion for every stop!  I met some of the most mazing locals and was able to see how the people lived.  Got it for a great price!

Excellent Itinary by gdsiceo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

I have been a cruise customer of Royal Caribbean since 1998 and consider them one of my primary cruising venues.  However, this cruise did not measure up to past cruise experiences.  The first thing I notices was the food services were certainly not up to previous experiences.  Even the Windjammer's food offerings were mostly subpar as compared to previous cruise based on selection, taste, and appearance.  The appearance aspect just has to do with what was being served. But, I found too many food offerings tasteless and went back to try to find an item that was appearing and tasty.  My wife for the first time on a cruise walkef through the Windjammer not finding anything appetizing and then proceeded to snack area on deck 5 to get a small sandwich.  She did that twice. There were more misses than hits unfortunately. In regards to the main dining: I was not the first to bring it up at the dinning table, a passenger from England said what I was thinking, the food quality had gone down.  Our food would come out cool and all steaks were covered with what was a steak Diane gravy, both Strip and Sirloin.  It was obvious all seafood servings were pre packaged.  I have had better seafood at a fast food vendue.  I ordered chicken cordon bleu that did not have cheese or ham.

Inside.  Obviously, this was not chicken cordon bleu.  Royal Caribbean,  the dining experience and on board entertainment are probably the two most important aspects of cruising (since many passengers seems to not really explore the destination by excursion).  I realize you want to manage business expenses but food service are a discriminator to cruise line selection.  I almost forgot.  While using the internet cafe a passager who was at Diamond level (he told me) and I were talking and I shared my disppointment with the food service and say no more.  He jumped right in a agreed and went on to talk about prevoius cruise dining experiences. Upon hearing the passenger opposite me and I discuss our disappointment.  A lady and her husband two rows away spoke up and agreed. I and the Passenger from England did bring it to the Head wait staff supervisor who brought the chef to our table where we detailed issues witj what was clearly fast food quality pre packaged dinner item.  The Chef said, he  would bring our concerns to management attention.  My next cruise is on my other goto cruise line and I will compare dining experiences and subsequently book future cruises accordingly.

Thank you for this survey

Southern Caribbean Experience by LKR2451782234

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

First and foremost we love Royal Caribbean. It's the only cruise line we Sail onLove. The Adventure of the Seas was beautiful and the service was outstanding. The itinerary was okay. St. Marteen, Antigua and Barbados were great I could have done with out St. Kitts and dt. Lucia.  If you take this cruise, make sure you like to be in a port everyday. Overall though we had great time and will be cruising agian in March 2017!!

A Wonderful Time by fayemart

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

I had the opportunity to spend a week cruising the Southern Caribbean with Adventure of the Seas and it was a wonderful experience.  The ship was beautifully maintained, the staff very friendly and accommodating, and the level of entertainment was excellent ..... better than expected.  The ship was full but there was still plenty of space if you wanted to find a quiet place.  On the day at sea, there was enough entertainment to keep you busy all day if that is what you prefer.  Overall, a wonderful time, would consider a Royal Caribbean cruise again because of this good experience.
