Awesome cruise by harmonchad

The ports of call on this ship, Aruba and Curacao, are amazing.  The Adventure of the Seas is also a nice size ship and the crew provides exceptional service.

Overall was a very good time. by TSF

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

This was our second time on this ship and itinerary (7 day Southern Caribbean from San Juan). Overall was a very good time. The dining room experience was great. The food was very good and the service was great. We always felt that we were being taken care of. Our cabin (inside-promenade view) was great. At first we were a little reluctant to book inside but we needed 2 connecting rooms and it worked out great for our party of four. The kids had their own room and bathroom all for less than an outside balcony room with us crammed in together. The ship is very nice and clean but a little bit dated. One complaint was the lack of any real structured programs for the 14-17 yr old kids. They basically were on their own on the ship. One other complaint was that the music at poolside the entire trip was Latino. I'm all for Latino music but the entire cruise? last complaint was the free cruise bingo giveaway was way too disorganized and they ran out of electronic boards for the overflow crowd.

Don't get me wrong, this was a fun time overall and I would recommend this itinerary and the Adventure of the Seas for sure.

Waited all summer for this by sunprincess71

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

At first the boarding process was a mess, but once we got inside everything went quick to board the ship. I read some mixed reviews mostly about the age of the ship. I thought it was great. Our cabin was good. There was plenty to do while onboard. Any issues were solved quickly. We enjoyed everything. I only regret I never made it to the spa.

Great Vaction by waynerumsey

My family and I great time we highly recommend using to book your Royal Caribbean vacations. The ship had more amenities than we had expected. We sat at table 577 and we had outstanding service by the dinning room staff. The staff that took care of our cabin were also amazing, we hardly knew they were there and are room was neat and tidy, always being done so in a timely manner as not to interfere  with our schedule.

Best Cruise Yet!!! by kenjremm

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Adventure of the Seas, Southern Carribbean Cruise to St Martin, Bonaire, Aruba and Curacao was amazing!  Each island had a feel of it's own and had many things we could do on our own or on an excursion with other passengers.  We loved the catamaran trips that included snorkeling with a beach stop!  Activities and shows on board the ship were so much fun thanks to the crew and Chlo, the activity director!  While the buffet was awesome, you can't beat the service and menu in the dining room!  Especially with the fine service we received from Edi and Zhoaran!!!  Wow, EXCEPTIONAL!!!  Keep in mind that soda, alcohol and wifi are extra costs on the ship!  The ship was very clean and our room was cleaned twice a day!  Mathew, our stateroom attendant, did an exceptional job!!! Getting 4,000 people to depart on the last day was the only part of the trip that we did not thoroughly enjoy!  Make sure that your flight is not scheduled any earlier than 6 hours after the ship arrives at your final port which in our case was Puerto Rico!  I would recommend this ship and cruise to everyone and we plan to do it again in the future!!!

Loved it! by mrsmccoo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The cruise was fantastic!  We loved the ports of call.  We will definitely sail with Royal Caribbean in the future.  We especially enjoyed the entertainment on Tuesday night.  The finale could have been much better.  Actually, they should exchange the too because the parade was rather weak and uneventful.  The food in the Windjammer was much better than the dining room, so we opted out of that experience after the first night and tried it again as was not pleased.  Overall great cruise for us.

Wow! by mnsdds

6 Carribean ports in 7 days and only 1 sea day!  Gotta go a couple days early to see Old San Juan!  Recommend the Casablanca Hotel in the heart of the area.  Free trolley will get you around or you can walk.  Americain restaurant in hotel very good.  Eat @ Raices for authentic PR cuisine too.  Toro Salao very good also!

Overall cruise experience by cancerlade

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

I enjoyed all aspects of the cruise and would recommend it to others.  The stateroom was always clean.  As soon as you left your stateroom the attendant will make sure that your bed was made up and you had everything that you needed.  There need to be more entertainment for people who have the late dinner.  After the late dinner there is not much choices of entertainment.

Cruise by kgraser

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The Cruise on Adventure of the Seas was fantastic.   I cannot say enough about the employees of RCL.   They were fantastic.    The worse part of the Trip was NOT having transfers when I felt I did and paid for them.   No one knew about my transfers when arriving in San Juan.   when I arrived at the Caribe Hilton they had me scheduled for 8 nights when it was Only for 1 night.  No transfers to the peir and No transfers from the Peir to the airport.    This should have never happened and this was the worse part of the trip.   As for being on the ship and the ammenties while on the ship I cannot say enough good things.   All port of calls were fantastic.   I would recomend the cruise itself.   The Caribe Hilton was a frist notch Hotel and one not to miss.   The lack of transfers leaves something to be disired..

Adventure of the seas needs to retire by ReneeP

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)

Love being at different destination every day! Save you money don't buy drink packages, your never on the ship!  Shopping in each island was a joke every port has the same item.

Poop deck literally by makeba

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The customer service was great. Dining staff awesome.  Stateroom facilities awful.

My Stateroom toilet stopped up with raw sewage 4 out of the seven day cruise .  It smelled like a urinal EVERYDAY despite the attendants room service. Had it not been for the fact that I've experience far better cruise ships with royal caribbean, I would never recommend this ship.   The only thing the Adventures of the seas  has going for it is the numerous  ports.   Other than that no.

Adventure of the seas by Dado38

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

service was very good. Food was mediocre. Ship needs updating. Cabins rather small for price paid. Entertainment was marginal, not much diversity on variety.

Boarding procedure was horrible. Getting off much better. Shore excursions were decent.

Cruising to the South Caribbean by Cruiser45747190

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

I thought your itinerary was fabulous!  I plan to take another cruise on the same ship to the same islands.  I appreciated having the flexibility regarding dinner time.  I would have liked, though, having the Windjammer open at 6:00 a.m. for continental breakfast.  I took some excursions that met at 8:00 a.m. and had to hurry through breakfast.

Adventure of the Seas Southern Caribbean Cruise by ScottandCo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The staff was excellent.  Attentive and helpful.  Absolutely no criticism there.  Ports of call were great.

However, I see a definite decline in the RCCL offerings.  The ship needs attention.  It is looking tired.  Entertainment is lacking particularly in what is offered.  Television is a joke.  Movies were played again and again.  How many times can you watch Ant Man?  With so much available, why is this so lacking?

Very nice destinations by jimmiemac13

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Me and my wife had a great experience on this 7 night cruise.  Destinations were very good.  Every stop was very sunny and beautiful.   Excursions were well worth the money and beaches were great.  Made a rookie mistake about traveling on a Sunday when town shopping is closed.  Outside of that, wonderful trip.

Better then I expected by Vilmenay

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Favorite part was our waiters at dinner they were the best we have had.  I would recommend the cruise.  All the islands were great!  The tour of the cities then to the beach was far more reasonable at the ports then pre paying $20 round trip usually  I was glad they are updating the ship the toilet system on the ship can be much better.  At times the restroom even in our stateroom before using it after being cleaned smelled like urine

Great cruise by aishagreene96

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

This was my first cruise and I must say I loved it. I picked this cruise because it was stoping at 5 islands and only had 1 day at sea. Best choice I couldn't have ever made. The boat was beautiful the rooms were small but suitable. The ship had many activities daily to keep passengers busy. I would have liked to see more entertainment for adults besides two comedy shows and the night kin which was crowded with teenagers. Overall the food was good, service was great especially during dinner time at the dinning room. My server Royal was amazing. Also the staterooms were kept clean and if any problems arose it was fixed right away . I would recommend this cruise for families or couples.
