Review summary

The Cruise on Adventure of the Seas was fantastic.   I cannot say enough about the employees of RCL.   They were fantastic.    The worse part of the Trip was NOT having transfers when I felt I did and paid for them.   No one knew about my transfers when arriving in San Juan.   when I arrived at the Caribe Hilton they had me scheduled for 8 nights when it was Only for 1 night.  No transfers to the peir and No transfers from the Peir to the airport.    This should have never happened and this was the worse part of the trip.   As for being on the ship and the ammenties while on the ship I cannot say enough good things.   All port of calls were fantastic.   I would recomend the cruise itself.   The Caribe Hilton was a frist notch Hotel and one not to miss.   The lack of transfers leaves something to be disired..

Thanks sjgk4h . How long did it take to get off ship? What time was your flight?

Yesterday, cab from the terminal to the airport was $25 for 4 people and 4 suitcases, and super fast!

No problem, you're more than welcome. Enjoy your cruise ( when the time comes 😄)

Got you. Thanks so much for this. I'm thinking cab ride would be best option. You don't have to wait for it to fill up. Just jump in and go. Again thanks for my early morning coffee and talk time.

Yes, we took a cab back to the airport from the port. It was cheaper for us to use cabs than pay for transfers, but you should check out the cost of the transfers versus the cost of cabs. Depending on the travel package you have , sometimes transfers can work out at $30/40 per person per transfer as opposed to $20 for a cab fare

That's good information. So you also took a cab from cruise port terminal to airport ? Do you know if this is better then paying for transfers with cruise line? Sounds like this was a better choice.

Yes, we arrived the day before we sailed. The cab from the airport to the hotel was about the same cost( again , zone system fixed rate) and took about 15 mins

Thanks dommie . Did you come one day early? My trip is not until 2017 but I'm planning ahead.

We stayed at the Caribe Hilton also. Took a cab to the port. Took about 10 mins to get to the port and the fare was about $20. The cab fares are posted in the hotel as they are done in a zone system with fixed fares. The $20 dollar fare included the travel and $1 dollar per suitcase

How far was the hotel from the cruise port? Did you take cab? How much?
