Amazing Mediterranean itinerary by lpcampbell

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Overall a mm enjoyable trip but would take a different cruise like me next time. A very diverse group of cruisers and at dinner we were out with Italuans who spoke no English. Good could have been much better. Also may look at a smaller ship.

Most disappointing NCL cruise ever by cafejay

Really said above - very disappointing as the passengers were as a rule rude and refused to followed posted rules and thecrew refused to enforce them.

Honeymoon Cruise by tuckerabbott

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Star / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

My wife and I took this cruise for our honeymoon, and we had an overall good experience. I had been to Europe previously but my wife had never been. The specialty food on board the ship was great, but the complimentary food left something to be desired. I wish we had more time to explore at each port (expect 30 minutes taken for both arrival and departure out of the overall time listed for each port). The excursions are great for inexperienced travelers, but if you're more experienced I would highly recommend exploring the destinations on your own.

Disappointing Medditerran Cruise by tgladen26

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Luminosa / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

I have been in several cruises: Royal Carribean, NCL, Celebrity, Carnival. This was our 1st European cruise. Overall, we were quite disappointed as the visits to most of the port of calls were short, the excursions catered to people who didn't have mobility problems. It would have been nice to have excursions with little physical activities to accomodate all guests. As an African American couple, we felt disrespected quite often. For example, we walked in one of the shops and the clerks continued to follow me around. I am quite blessed to have the resources to pay for this cruise and I was well able to buy anything in any of the shops. Costa could benefit from cultural diversity training. I do not plan on cruising with Costa in the future and would not recommend this cruise line.

Wonderful ports of call, but disappointing cruise line. by haroldlindo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Musica / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The ports make it worth it, but the cruise line is lacking in customer service and the food is not great. The ports considerably brought the score up. Without them it's a solid 2.8-3 , especially if you are used to the US cruise lines.

Lovely cruise! by andsaw

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Star / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We had a great time with our friends and our son. It was a nice ship and the staff was very friendly. Our cabin was a balcony and was well equipped. We had been out touring Italy for 3 weeks before the cruise and so it was nice to unpack for a full week and let the ship deal with the details. Already looking at a cruise for next year.

Cruised with Friends by sannsiltre8

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Star / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We traveled as a couple with another couple who are good friends of ours. We had an amazing time, we just wished there were longer port times to get things in--especially in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Again, the ship is beautiful, but we kept saying to ourselves that it would have been more relaxing if it had been an adults only ship, or that the ship was larger and had more spaces that allowed for kids and families to enjoy along with those of us adults who wanted some space to ourselves. We have kids of our own, but will usually take them on cruises that are larger so there is more for them to do. Other than that, the ship is beautiful and we still had a lovely time.

Summer Trip with Kids by satis

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Norwegian Star / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The trip was great experience, the cruise ship was somewhat aged vessel in need of upgrades. The service and staff were great, the entertainment was super; our kids and us adults very much enjoyed it. The places visited were awesome but would have preferred a longer layover in Dubrovnic.

Great ports of call, but sub par cruise experience by bartlesl1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Costa Luminosa / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Very disappointed over all. I had high hopes for delicious Italian meals on board, but unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best. That's about a positive a statement I can give. With exception for room stewards, ship Staff treats guests like they're a nuisance. Very discourteous and slow to react to customer basic needs. I sincerely hope that not all Costa ships are like this one, because if they are then it will be my last and will let everyone I know about it. I doubt Costa management cares at all what I or any of their passengers think.

Short family cruise by joem72

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Norwegian Star / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

All in all it was a good experience. The biggest let down was the concierge for our suite who was utterly useless. We stayed in the haven last year on epic so set a high bar coming onto this ship and it was decent.

Norwegian Star - unremarkable by lizgreg

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Norwegian Star / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Very unremarkable cruise. Would not sail with Norwegian again. Staff did not go out of their way to make this a stress-free vacation. Bartenders argued. Guest services refused to assist. Could never find anyone at the excursion desk. Wine selection was disgusting.

Summer Cruise of the Adriatic by ruthfrankey

This cruise was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the summer and visit some beautiful small cities along the Adriatic without having to pack and unpack each day. Evening entertainment was excellent and overall it was a thoroughly enjoyable time.

Great cruise. Ports of call were great. Loved the suite. Great staff on the ship. Specialty dinners are the best. Best part of the cruise was the butler. Easy on and off the ship experience.

Cunard Class by witchofendor

A class experience all the way. Cunard provides the excellent British nautical atmosphere a cruise should have. Great service, great food, without the gimmicks.

A Very Favorable Surprise by seafarow

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Basically only have one complaint, that being it was too short, another 5-6 days would have been very acceptable. RCL met and exceeded all expectations on this one, overall a great trip. Thanks

Nice European Cruise by M3BABE1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

THEY NEED TO TURN ON THE HEAT IN THE HOT TUBS AND GET MUCH BIGGER ONES. PERSONNEL SHOULD BE TRAINED TO BE MORE FRIENDLY. THE PORTS ARE GREAT WHICH IS WHY I CHOOSE THIS CRUISE.

Great Costa Cruise by umhanna3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Costa Luminosa / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

I loved the evening dining and the activities. The cruises would have been better if we could have spent more time in the port cities. The hospitality desk did their best to help us know how to get around at the destinations, but they had never been there themselves and knew only what they could pull off the internet. It would be great if the staff had first hand knowledge of the destinations. None of the staff did except the cruise director.

Great time on mediocre ship by dksteinlaw

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

the itinerary is great. The service is great. Clean. Friendly staff. The ship has much fewer activities than larger ships. Entertainment was poor. Go for itinerary but bring some books to read while on board.

Cancellation of cruise by nkfamily10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

the royal carribean cruise was good but didn't have much to do during the at sea days other than pool casino and spa. The night shows were ok. Talented people performing and very friendly employees working.  The first cruise also was cancelled and the second cruise ended up with two port changes.  The contact through was never available and call backs always were needed if I didn't use the generic customer service contact.

Costa Cruise lines - they just don't get it. by mrfri4001358

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Costa Luminosa / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Nice ship, great ports.  Horrible service.  Costa is far below other major cruise lines.  This is by far the stingyest cruise line when it comes to, well..., everything.   Stingy with the food.  Poor selection and very limited hours to eat.   For example, the dinner buffet only runs from 7:30 to 9:00.  That's a ridiculous hour and a half to eat, of which you'll spend half the time line, 15 minutes trying to find a table, and just a few minutes to eat.  There aren't nearly enough tables to accomodate the passengers.  Coffee is only offered 2 hours a day 7am to 9am.  Then it's piss warm water the rest of the day.  The ice machines were not working most of the time.  Non-Europeans will have to pay for water in the dining room.   There is NO FREE FOOD after 9pm on this ship.   Ports were nice, but shamefully short.  The ships docs from were only 4 and 5 hours, docking at 7 or 8 am.  You know what's open at 7am in a port city?  Nothing.  The ship went to great lengths to make sure they fed you as little as possible and gave you as little for your money as they could.  NOT the cruise for those that enjoy food as one of the best parts of cruising.  Entertainment limited, service was meager.  A somber, unfriendly crew that is unhelpful.   Forget about Costa.  They just don't get why people cruise.   They take your money, have THE WORST port docking times, that convienently make you miss one or two meals since their food service hours are so limited.     NEVER AGAIN with Costa.  Not even an option as a cruise line.  Write them off.
