Review summary

My wife and I took this cruise for our honeymoon, and we had an overall good experience. I had been to Europe previously but my wife had never been. The specialty food on board the ship was great, but the complimentary food left something to be desired. I wish we had more time to explore at each port (expect 30 minutes taken for both arrival and departure out of the overall time listed for each port). The excursions are great for inexperienced travelers, but if you're more experienced I would highly recommend exploring the destinations on your own.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food at the specialty restaurants were excellent, however the complimentary restaurants were somewhat plain. The food was slightly under-seasoned due to the fact that their trying to please lots of different tastes. If we were going to take the trip again, I would definitely sign up for the Specialty Dining Package. Also, I highly recommend making reservations early! If not, the restaurants fill up very quickly.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The activities were enjoyable but somewhat repetitive.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The stage shows was well-produced. We also attended a comedy/trivia night at Spinnakers and the host was great! (Alvin I think). Also, the live music at Gatsby's Bar was excellent.

Ports of call

Venice, Italy

Kotor, Montenegro

Kotor is beautiful and I recommend being above-deck while the ship enters and leaves the port; the fjords are gorgeous. We took the excursion to Our Lady of the Rock which was okay; I would recommend spending most of your time in the Old Town of Kotor which is walking distance from the port.

Corfu, Greece

Santorini, Greece

We did the Charming Oia Village and Winery Tour. The excursion was nice but I wish we had more time to spend in Oia. All trips end in Fira and the line for the cable car is extremely long (..which the cruise rightly warns you about). If you're somewhat in shape, I would recommend wearing comfortable shoes and walking down from the town instead of waiting for the cable car.

Mykonos, Greece

5 out of 5
We visited Paradise Beach instead of doing an excursion in Mykonos. There is a shuttle (about 10-15 minute ride) from the port and it's 9 euro per person. Once at the beach, you will pay 20-25 euro for a pair of lounge chair and umbrella which includes a waiter/waitress to take care of you. The beach wasn't overly crowded and we enjoyed it.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

5 out of 5
The Old Town of Dubrovnik is gorgeous. We did the "Dubrovnik by Land and Sea" excursion and it was great to see the city, fortress, and city walls from the water. Insider Tip: Wear a bathing suit and visit Buza Bar (along the Southern edge of the city walls). You can get a drink overlooking the water outside of the city walls, and you are able to jump/swim off of the rocks as well.
