Review summary

This cruise was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the summer and visit some beautiful small cities along the Adriatic without having to pack and unpack each day. Evening entertainment was excellent and overall it was a thoroughly enjoyable time.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We arrived at the cruise terminal about noon. We were able to find the terminal easily from the People Mover as NCL had staff with signs directing us to where we needed to go. There was a line, but it kept moving. We checked in, checked our luggage, waited for our group to receive the signal to board the ship and were directed to the buffet area to have lunch. As stated, it wasn't until about two hours later that our stateroom was ready, so we explored the ship and had a drink in 5:00 Somewhere lounge where we watched TV and met some new people.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We like the buffet, especially my husband. There is always a variety of food and mostly well prepared. We tried the Aqua Dining Room and the Versailles and enjoyed both. The service was very nice in both.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We participated in the Sail Away Party and listened to music in some of the lounges. As we did shore excursions in each port, we didn't access many other activities.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We saw every show available on the ship except Paradise (we arrived too late to find a seat for the early show and didn't want to stay up for the later one as we had an excursion the next day.) The shows were really good and the performers are very talented.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We found our room Steward, Eduardo, to be very attentive and helpful. He was also friendly while maintaining his professional attitude. The ship personnel were always courteous and said hello whenever we passed in the halls. Dining staff were personable and professional also.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship design was very nice and the diagram as you entered the hallways helped me keep straight which direction I was going (fore, aft) and which side of the ship I was on (port, starboard) There was a broken hand rail in the pool deck that had caution tape but needed to be repaired, and the golf netting was showing wear and tear as well. Overall, you can just see the effort put into keeping everything clean, well maintained and in order.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The bed was comfortable, the bathroom had nice space for toiletries and the shower was fairly roomy for my 6' 4" husband. We had plenty of closet and shelf space and the balcony was very nice.

Ship tip

The restaurants do take longer than the buffet. If you want to go to an early performance, allow sufficient time.

Ports of call

Venice, Italy

Dubrovnik, Croatia

Venice is a beautiful and interesting city. We visited on our own prior to the cruise, but is a city not to be missed.

Kotor, Montenegro

5 out of 5
The walled city is within walking distance of the ship and should be visited. The shops and cafes are very nice and the area is beautiful. We did an excursion and saw places away from the ship which were also very nice.

Corfu, Greece

Another beautiful city and we did one of the excursions here. I truly enjoyed the tavern we were taken to and the opportunity to spend time in the city.

Ravenna, Italy

The history of this city is amazing and it has so many UNESCO historical sites. If you love history, it's a good place to visit.

Disembarkation

The process was simple and we were able to get our luggage and move to our transportation without difficulty.
