Beautiful scenery!!! Not the best weather by aimeewm

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Discovery Princess

First time on a Princess ship. Was ok. Was a little disappointed of ship given it was "new". Food was fine. Our head waiter was very nice; 5+. Our guy who made the room daily was GREAT!!! Definitely want to go back to Alaska when weather is better

Memorable Birthday Cruise by rhedd923

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Discovery Princess

Our expectations were exceeded! The ship is impressive, incredibly designed - never seemed crowded. The staff was the best I have experienced - the customer service was impeccable. We loved the food, the ports, the tours offered and the embarkation. This is highly recommended for any experienced or first time cruise passengers.

Alaska Inside Passage by CTMan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Discovery Princess

All in all, we had a great time! June Cook was an excellent advisor. She helped pick us the perfect place for a stateroom considering the size of the ship. The food was great! The drinks were well put together and the service was just exceptional. I would definitely use Cruises again as well as the Princess Cruise Line.

Norwegian Encore cruise to Alaska by pmbur4009

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Encore

4,300 guests on the ship. The Atrium was used for everything. There should be a designated room for movies, games, etc. besides the Atrium. It is too small with not enough chairs.

Disappointing by dlbrown3573

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Discovery Princess

I was very disappointed, from the misinformation given by the travel agent, the poorly informed staff onboard. the poorly planned elevator service, boring activities. I would recommend no one book excursions with the cruise line. They are overpriced and readily available at every port. I would go so far as to say the best thing about Princess was that it was a newer ship that was well appointed.

AWFUL and RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE by franmaconi

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Encore

Was so excited about the trip and then let down with the quality of the food, got sick in the Seafood Restaurant which served Captain D like seafood. The entertainment was mediocre The staff was very nice and were the best part of the cruise. Will NEVER sail NCL again

First cruise ever and we're impressed by FirstCruisers23

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Westerdam

We needed a break from the past few years and we got exactly what we needed.. great service, good food and drink, and plenty of ways to just relax around the ship areas and enjoy the sea. We could not have asked for better weather, sunshine in every port. Our only downside was both getting Influenza A and not feeling well at the last two ports. That's the breaks of being in enclosed spaces with a lot of folks after a few years of isolation. I'm not sure we got all the correct on board credit we were supposed to, be sure to check your bookings, take screenshots if it says pre-paid gratuity etc. It will come in useful for any questions later.

Lumberjack Cruise by kau62669670

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Koningsdam

Overall I would say that the cruise was a successful time for our first time. However I have discovered that cruises will not be for me. I enjoyed the time on land most of all. Having traveled with sisters and friends that was an awesome part as well. Getting covid to finish off the trip was not my favorite thing! Thanks Koningsdam for an experience!

Lots of hiccups, but still enjoyable considering the price by johnvisser

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Bliss

For a first cruise experience, this wasn't bad. Most of the things that I didn't love were just rookie mistakes. If you're someone who doesn't care that much about the ports, this is a good cruise. This cruise is simply too short and too late in the season for people to get the Alaska experience, though. I'm not too upset about it, because I'd already had lots of experiences whale watching, seeing bears, visiting glaciers, etc, but I think I would have been disappointed if this was a bucket-list cruise for me. The Bliss is also just so large that getting on and off is a production for such short port calls.

Beautiful country and a great mode of transportation to see it all. by bmeallen

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Bliss

Service on the Bliss is outstanding. Every staff member greets you. Like I was still it Texas. Since cruising is a hospitality industry, The Bliss could be the standard for other vessels to emulate. Nothing ever felt rote or stained. I know it is their job but they make you feel cared for.

Great trip! by coolrider

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Bliss

Ive been to AK a few times. If you have never been go on Princess or Holland America. On those cruise lines you can go into town and do an excursion with better docks. On NCL you must choose between one or the other. Since we have been before and like NCL ships we dont mind.

A very memorable Alaska cruise by ronarchuleta

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Eurodam

This was my first Alaska cruise, and I definitely picked the right line. I loved going to Alaska on HAL. I'm not the "party cruise" type. This was a relaxing, and upscale experience. The EXC talks in the World Stage really enhanced my cruise. I learned so much about Alaska and the ports before I had even arrived. The entertainment was top-notch. I would definitely recommend Eurodam to anyone.

Enjoyable Cruise with Brothers and Their Wives by dbjackmd

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Eurodam

Very effective involvement with Southeastern Alaska with good viewings from the balcony. Attended with a company of 8, 4 brothers and their wives. After the first night, we had to make arrangements to dine together, as we were not placed with each other by the cruise ship, even though we scheduled together.

Amazing Alaska Cruise by FoxFamily03

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ovation of the Seas

The cruise was amazing. Alaska is beautiful and pictures don't do it justice. The enormity of the mountains and landscape are indescribable. We were supposed to do Glacier Bay the morning before Juneau and skipped it for some reason..... Disappointed.
