Review summary

The cruise was amazing. Alaska is beautiful and pictures don't do it justice. The enormity of the mountains and landscape are indescribable. We were supposed to do Glacier Bay the morning before Juneau and skipped it for some reason..... Disappointed.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The Port of Seattle was amazing, we entered the terminal and never stopped walking. It was the easiest and fastest embarkation process I have experienced, 10 previous cruises.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main Dining was great, Kathleen and her wait staff were fantastic, 5 stars there. Agitated that almost everything was for an additional cost. I started cruising when everything on the boat was included. Now I have to check before ordering to see if it is included or extra. Only main dining, main buffet and a couple snack places are included, EVERYTHING else was for a fee!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
It was too cold for many outdoor activities, the North Star was always booked up and in my opinion not worth the $40 pp for the 15 minutes. The fitness center was the best one I have experienced on 10 cruises.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All the shows and performers were fantastic.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone did their job with a smile and great attitude.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everything was clean, everywhere.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was as expected based on previous balcony room experiences. The closet space on either side of the bed was an added bonus. Plenty of storage. Cabin steward, Allison, was amazing and did a great job.

Ship tip

Going to Alaska, the interior of the ship was warm enough for shorts and t-shirts throughout. Obviously, outside was a different story, but we overpacked expecting much colder temps and not enough shorts and t-shirts.
