I loved this port. Plenty of shopping. The only bad thing is your bombarded with people trying to sell excursions. We did a private island/ snorkeling excursion that was great. The boat guides were so much fun and the island was georgous!

The port itself is ok but the city is one of those that looks like a third world country. However, I will say the people in Belize are very friendly and cordial.

absolutely awful. people were following you with their products so you could buy them. when i pay for a cruise i don’t want to go to a port just to have people screaming at me. it was very sketchy there. i felt unsafe and vulnerable. the way you had to get back on the boat was going through a building with a bar gate half way across a broken wooden door. absolutely nuts! they stole a pair of costa sunglasses from my father as it went through the security scanner. what theifs! and it was all in all a awful experience. carnival needs to get rid of this port immediately for its passengers safety. and to make situations worse when you get back to your cabin you find a slip of paper that makes you rate Belize. it asks if you would go back again. and i think you all know what my answer was....
