Very cosmopolitan location. Boat should dock here longer. Be sure to have a gyro at one of the restaruants along the beach. Hold your purse tight however! Children beg and grab bags here.

Loved Mykonos, we did a beach excursion to Elia which was very pretty, then when back at the port we took the water taxi to town, absolutely loved it there! Great shops and many cafes everywhere.

We encountered not one, but four changes to Port Itinerary since booking this cruise in Jan 2017. In the first instance Santorini and Kusadasi were removed from the itinerary without notice or explanation. Once aboard we discovered that staff were informed in 2016 that they would not be sailing to Turkey in 2017 yet Kusadasi remained on the itinerary list throughout the early months of 2017 - this we also view as a form of mis-selling. If the staff knew and decisions had been made in 2016 not to visit Turkey in 2017 why was this port not removed from the itinerary? We also did not get to visit Mykonos on either of our two weeks aboard this back-to-back 14 night cruise - this apparently because of high winds. On the first week we arrived at Mykonos and the sea was a little choppy so the captain decided not to tender, although other ships did apparently tender on that day. So we just had another sea-day instead. On the second week the captain announced - two days prior - that we would not be going to Mykonos - again due to high winds and instead we went back to Piraeus (for Athens) which we had visited the week before. We all have to accept the decision of the Captain in the interest of public safety. However, as four adults with 15 years of cruising experience we can say that we have tendered quite safely in choppier seas with other companies, namely P&O, Princess and NCL and we couldn’t help but wonder what other reasons might have contributed to this decision. If Mykonos is prone to high winds In August and the company have to cancel this port option twice in a fortnight, then perhaps it should not be included in the itinerary at point of sale for this time of

Here we had a beach day, at Paradise Beach, taking the Bus from the port. It was a perfect day.

This was a lovely port. The ship docks away from the hub of activity so I suggest a water taxi for $2.0 round trip t get there and back. Wander the narrow back alley streets near the port and enjoy the shops and food. We did a day trip to Delos Island which was amazing.

I enjoyed the excursion to Delos. It was not difficult. Many thought it should not have been rated as strenuous.

My only wish was, I wish we had more time!!!!! However, it worked out just fine, and we ended up walking around, and enjoying the culture, some food, local cuisine and went over the bar on the water front called Jackie'O's. Had a Fantastic time!!!! The waiters were so friendly. We didn't want to leave. Fell in love with Mykonos.

Did the American Airlines tour (not ship-sponsored tour) "Highlights of Mykonos" which explored very scenic locations and even gave us the chance to dip our feet into the (cold) Aegean! Finished the tour with a walk through town. Only down side was that this was more than a moderate rated walk.
