This is a beautiful bay, but exploring on your own is not a good idea in Jamaica. Even though there were a lot of visible security personnel, we weren't comfortable on the streets.

I did an excursion outside of Carnival. It was a nice tour that included eating lunch at a local restaurant and a 2 hour stay at the beach.

Safety is always a concern in Jamaica. We had "no problems mon", but we were very cautious.

It was pretty but book an excursion. We got off and got right back on. There is nothing to do right in port.

Shore excursion involved riding horses along a beach and into the water and finally tubing down a river. The horse riding was wonderful. The tubing started off great and then finally left us feeling vulnerable when it was over.

took the included excursion which was guided by an excellent guide, Aleysha (sp?). Very interesting tour of the White Witch's mansion.

As soon as you stop outside of the terminal you are harassed by taxi services, guide services, shop owners, and residents offering questionable services. It was a dirty and unsafe environment. Stay in ship recommended areas, with a group. Canopy tour was awesome. It made the above aggrevations worth the trip.
