Review summary

We sailed the 7-day western Caribbean from Galveston on the Carnival Vista. Wonderful cruise and the ship was good, the CD, Kyndall Fire wasn’t our favorite but we still enjoyed the activities and the amenities onboard the ship. Unfortunately during our sailing most of the Fun Shops were being renovated and didn’t open until our last night. The Sky Ride was closed throughout the cruise as well.

Sailing from Galveston has always been a great experience and very smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Everything was good. I think the MDR waiters were under staffed. They seemed rushed and continuously trying to play catch up with orders. They did a great job though. The lido buffet was good as always on Carnival.

Redfrog Pub and Brewery

Very disappointed with the Red Frog this cruise. Very difficult to get service, most nights it would take over 20 min for service. It seemed the only people getting serviced were the regular bar chair hogs that were there every night

Fantastic!! Our steward Tri was one of the best we’ve ever had.

Ship tip

It’s a much different layout of all other ships. Take a bit of time to orient yourself.

We always take a taxi to the public beach and relax and have a couple drinks at Calico Jacks
