Do you know what level you are on in your favorite cruise line's Loyalty Program. On HAL I am on Four Star level. On Carnival, I am on Platinum Level. Both level get me free laundry. I doubt that I will ever reach the highest levels on either program.

Carnival will assuredly, just as you have that cruise booked that will put you into Platinum status, change their rules. Rules that will add nights required, and lessen your perks. Til you get near Diamond that is.

Carnival Gold. It is the only line we've sailed on so far.

I'm gold on Carnival...my goal is platinum...what is it like to be on Platinum level?

I remember reading about your bad experience but I can't recall it now...Regardless, I would definitely give it a second look. I have had nothing but great experiences with them even though I've gone through issues with billing (not only resolved but gave me a 10 day Panama Canal Cruise). I've been asked to vacate cabin while they medivacd a crew member (minor inconvenience) and yet they gave us an on board credit. Their prices are comparable if you utilize their specials (currently the Three for Free that includes a stateroom upgrade, free gratuities and $150 - $300 on board credit) Give it a fresh look - I think you'll be pleased!

We are Select on Celebrity because of our Emerald status on RC. Though we do not expect to get any higher on either line were we to take one more cruise on RC, we would reach Diamond.

With all three lines we receive free laundry.
With Regent we receive unlimited internet.
With Princess we receive all the internet we can use plus a very reduced rate on more.
With HAL we receive no free internet. In fact, we would have to double the number of sea days we already have with them to receive such. That would mean another 250 days sailing with HAL.

On Carnival we are Platinum and will be Diamond on the January cruise. On Princess we are gold.
On all others....we are not yet.
