Is there any way that we can pin this so that it stays on top of the forums? I'm sure many people will find it useful.
Agreed incredibly useful...until it changes or updates. be prepared for that, its a fluid situation.

Great idea! I can make it featured. I will do so tomorrow when the dev team gets in. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing. I wonder if the cruise lines would consider having a wait list to fill some of these cancellations, at a reduced rate???
Good suggestion!

Thanks for that update. Just be prepared to wait and wait and wait...when we call in a week or so, it''ll either be at the moment cust svc opens, early am, or late at nite. bear in mind, these things are "works in progress". theres all kinds of things included in fares, some of which you may get back, some not....be prepared to ask questions!!!! thems that ask get...what d'you have to lose?
We are not considering cancelling our cruise planned for next year, although we have considered booking up to a balcony---just in case. The cruise lines are doing what is expected during this "crisis". the optics of doing anything less would not be great. The new policies also show that the policy is designed to push forward the booking and little or no refund is actually offered. Those that have had their cruise cancelled at the last minute... The Royal for one, got full credit, "makes sense" and an added bonus of a future cruise credit, "smart move". These customer will cruise again. The losses incurred by the cruise lines overall, during this time are quite manageable in the grand scheme on things. These events also highlight the fact that it is the passengers and crew on these ships that transmit the illness among themselves and not the cleanliness of lack thereof of the ship. We can expect a complete sanitizing of the ships once they reach the port. Maybe they will now allow an extra day to "scrub" everything down, instead of a few hours.
Thanks Mich.
Need to keep in mind though that these are only temporary policies because of the current virus concerns and that the usual cancellation policies will revert back.
Great point! You are correct! Thanks as always for the input!!
