I am curious if the majority of people pack and use slippers in the cabin or if they walk barefoot ? I can remember in the old days that they would shampoo the cabin carpets between each cruise (this was back in the early 90's on RCI Viking Serenade and Song of America out of San Pedro port of Los Angeles)

Do you pack and use slippers in ship cabin ?

I pack slippers, I never walk barefoot on public floors.
I've packed them occasionally. Used them a lot on our Norwegian Fjords cruise (cold weather) when on the balcony. Otherwise, I pack scuffs that are just as easy to slip on and off... plus they are more stable to walk in.
No, I just wear socks or barefoot. Even out on our balcony.
Me too.
I usually go barefoot in the cabin, but I do avoid the soupbowls
Me or anyone in my family have never packed any sort of slippers or shower shoes. I might wear socks in the room due to my feet getting cold, not cause I'm worried about germs. I'd be more scared of germs in the swimming pools than in my stateroom.
One of my friends calls the hot tubs on ships, hotels and apartment complexes "People Soup"

I always keep my flip flops just inside the door. Use them for both walking around the cabin (short walk) and showering!
I always pack slippers.
No, but I go through a lot of socks.
