Don't expect a huge variety in activities or menu.

if you want to be confortable get cabins that are big, if they have two bedrooms and a living room got for it.. You'll be more comfortable.. Small rooms for people with handicaps are not worth going.

It is a ship for older adults, but if you are an active adult it is a good ship to be on.

When you get off the elevator, the stairs are forward, even numbers are port, odd numbers are starboard. Remember that and you won't have to do the this way , no that way shuffle.

Ihave no tips to offer, I will only say that we will not every sail on this ship or any other Holland Cruise, with so many other cruise lines to choose from, Holland is pricey and the food on this experience was so lacking, that we cannot think why we would want to come back. There was nothing exceptional about this trip that would be a selling point for us. In fact after more than25cruises this is the very that we had negative feelings about the cruise that never seemed to leave us.

Pick your room wisely. Choose port or starboard because you see more when you choose the side docking toward the land.

I know it is expensive, but the way they have everything set up with the Navigator Application, you need to have the internet package. It makes it lot easier to keep in touch with family back home and you can stay off your cell phone which can be even more expensive to use.

The Holland American Ships are smaller and those typically sailing are older and more subdue. Not party ships.

Try the Canaletto--we often skip this on Holland, but this time we really enjoyed the food and thought the service was great.
