Awful. Old, dilapidated ship that needs to be retired. Unsafe ports.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
MDR is ok but could use more menu selections. Canaletto is good, but dining area needs more atmosphere and dining area was always hot inside. Buffet is great, not self serve, staff serves plates so less germs and food waste.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
Most activities are an extra charge - Pilates, aerobics, etc. HAL is money hungry.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
BB King Club Lounge entertainment is the best for music & dancing. All other shows, comedians, Billboard are terrible and shows are repeated twice during cruise.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Room stewards & waiters work hard and do a nice job. Customer relations staff don't work out issues and seem to be just robots with their answers.
Ship Quality

Lots of construction/repairs going on during our 11 day Panama Cruise. Men in dirty, greasy overalls walking through the Canaletto/Buffet area carrying large steel beams during dining times. Many broken windows on various decks, pool deck floor was old & moldy. Welding sparks flying with lots of smoke filling deck 9 area for days. So much noise of construction work all day and into the early evenings. Couldn't take a nap in cabin with all the noise echoing thru the walls from the construction. Bang, bang, rattle, rattle it was AWFUL. If the ship requires that much repair it needs to go into dry dock so passengers don't have to deal with it.
Cabin / Stateroom
1 out of 5
This cabin was not the actual cabin we booked according to the size. This was a small interior with no couch, we booked a large interior with couch. Once on board we requested a large interior, it took Cust. Service over 4 hours to arrange for us to move, so it was after 11 pm before we got settled into a cabin on the first night. They moved us to 6071, we spent 4 nights there and then the structural noises started to rattle in the walls. Again we went to Cust. Serv. they offered us a "Sleeping Cabin for night only" (on deck 8 next to the elevators, it was awful), meaning we could only sleep there not actually move in. Do you know how inconvenient that is....running back & forth to take a shower, change clothes, etc., good grief it was awful. We had enough of that nonsense after one night and stayed in 6071 because our things were there and it was exhausting going back & forth to change or get things.
They call this the "happy island", ya right that's were Natalie Holloway was murdered and to see the Church of Scientology ship docked there did not make us happy.
When you see barbed wire on homes and men walking the streets with guns in their hands we were surprised HAL would allow passengers to get off this port. NOT SAFE. Needs to be removed from itinerary.
