Accessible, for the most part. Scooters common. Some obstacles.

Review summary

The ship is very accessible, although to go on deck on the sides required going over a 2 inch flange. Stateroom so comfortable, there was little incentive to leave it.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Little guidance where to drop off luggage or park. I had a handicap permit and when I showed it to the persons guiding traffic, they kept pointing down the road until I was entirely past the terminal.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Lots of choices, room service any time, dining areas open most of the time.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Many events overcrowded, especially jewelry presentations.

Entertainment

3 out of 5

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff did very well, even though many were sick from norovirus the last several days.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Excellent cleanliness.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Handicap accessible, but only after we had the steward remove a large, heavy table taking up most of the room's floor space. Very nice accessible shower. Veranda nice, but in full view of people on the elevator.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

3 out of 5

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island) Did not visit port

tenders iffy for scooters.

Oranjestad, Aruba

5 out of 5
Fully accessible. Easy to get around. Cheaper than US prices, but still expensive.

Willemstad, Curacao

2 out of 5
Not scooter friendly. Sidewalks had no cut-throughs, so could not get far from the ship.

Cartagena, Colombia Did not visit port

Ramps could not handle scooters, due to large angle of ramp in the ship meeting the gangplank, creating a peak the scooter couldn't go over.

Enter Panama Canal At Cristobal

4 out of 5
Saw it in the Observation deck. Windows were filthy, unfortunately, so hard to see.

Exit Panama Canal At Cristobal

5 out of 5

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

3 out of 5
Nice shops in the terminal, but the city was dirty, not tourist friendly.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Well handled, but no signs indicating how to get a redcap. No information on disembarkation process from the point where we left the ship.
