Holland America is the best cruise line for relaxing and enjoying life, in a luxurious way. Wonderful.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Holland America always has a great variety of food selections. the Lido Market serves very good salads and steaks. One night is Surf and Turf, excellent lobster tails, as many as you can eat. The Pool area has a Mexican taco bar, not the kind with ground beef, shredded spiced chicken and carnitas, delicious. They also have very good hamburgers and hot dogs. The Main dinning room usually had 4 or 5 choices from appetizers to desserts for dinner, all very good. We paid the extra 15.00 for the specialty dinning, Canneletto’s, Italian, scrumptious.
We ordered in room dinning a couple of times and I must say it was our favorite, food was amazing and eating in bed was so fun.
They have their daily menus, for all venues, on TV, so anyone can see what is being offered to help decide were to go. That is a great feature.
Drinks were reasonable, well served and enough happy hours throughout the day to keep everyone “happy”
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
The pools were nice, a tad cold. The jacuzzis were very nice and hot.
I recommend visiting the “Test Kitchen” they had recipe handouts of all the the dishes they prepared. Barb, the chef, was so funny and made it look so easy.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The Piano players, Lincoln Center and BBKing venues were excellent. Main stage was hit or miss. We did see a very funny comedian. All of the other acts were OK.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The service and the staff were exceptionally good. I have absolutely nothing to criticize or to recommend in this area, Holland America understands customer service.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The recent renovations are beautiful. Their upkeep is constant, I think this ship is beautiful.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin was very spacious and comfortable. The bed was perfect, between the rocking and the good quality of bed, linens and variety of pillow fullness, we slept very well. We were below the Lido so it was a little nosy at times, it did not bother us, we just thought it was thundering outside.
Our balcony was very large and spacious.
Ship tip
If you are a light sleeper, stay away from the Navigation deck.
True to their word. We had breakfast then our number was called and are suitcases waiting for us. Easy as can be. No problem catching a taxi to airport.
