Review summary

The Cruise was wonderful with only a few glitches.

We were not told that we needed visas for Turkey beforehand.  Created some confusion and a hassle to get them done online.  Turned out that we were never asked for them.  At $20.00 each quite a lot of money for the Turkish Government.

Would like to see more "seminars" on board.  History, Arts, people etc.

The Port talks were only OK.

Willy and Malaya were the best. None better. They kept our cabin ultra clean and always with a smile.

Ship tip

We loved the ship. It is larger than I thought it would be but the layout and design are excellent.

When you book a cruise with Norwegian or Carnival, nobody tells you that you are supposed to get a visa. It's your responsibility. It also depends on your citizenship status. I've never travelled by Viking but from what I heard and saw on the web site, I am impressed. On other cruise lines you pay extra for everything including dining except one or two places on the ship, drinks even bottled water, excursions, some entertainment, and there are no lectures.

Thank you for your review!  All of our documentation has stated repeatedly to check on getting a Visa.  Turkey is a Visa country, and using their online application was intuitive and easy to do.
