Really enjoyable cruise with amazing scenery and food

Absolutely brilliant cruise would highly recommend, we were blessed with great weather, which helped

Having booked the cruise in February 2021 and having experienced great cruises with Princess before, we were really excited and looking forward to a wonderful time. Unfortunately this turned out to not be our experience. The main swimming pools were rendered unusable by children, teenagers and adults not obeying the rules. So we couldn’t participate in the main activity of each day. And although the Patter advertised many activities e.g. knitting and carpet bowls, each day sadly there wasn’t much to excite us. Quite frankly we were bored a lot of the time! A very disappointing 2 weeks, which we feel was a waste of rather a lot of money. We won’t be travelling with Princess again.

IF YOU ARE HAPPY WITH NO ACCESS TO A SWIMMING POOL… GO FOR IT!

Excellent service, lovely food, great ports, brilliant entertainment, a lot of fun had by all!

Came to this cruise with some pre-expectations. It had been over 10 years from our last Princess cruise so we did expect a more refined cruise, an older crowd, and thus more subtle entertainment choices. While the first two were true, especially leaving from the UK, we were blown away how good the entertainment was. The two Princess production shows (Rock Opera and 5Skies are probbably the best I've seen at sea). There was great music every night as well thanks for the onboard bands. Food was a bit tailored for the English taste but we found it to be of great quality, though sometimes small portions. Restaurants were all excellent, including Alfredo's pizzeria. If we had any gripes on the food it's the minimal hit food selection for room service. Our mini suite was spacious and comfortable, and most of the crew was friendly and helpful. Bars though can be a bit overwhelmed with orders when the Princess app lets you order from anywhere in the ship, well, if you can get it to work properly ;) .

Excellent overall bur badly marred by a simple incident that Princess simply did not handle well. Our door entry system - medallion - failed and we could not get into the room! To cut a long story short it took an hour late at night before a man with only one of 2 keys on the entire ship could get us in and all due to an expired battery in the door! The big issue though was my partner getting very stressed as time went on as she was concerned she could not get her medication. As a result, the following day she was reluctant to leave the room. What really was galling is that, despite registering at the front desk our concerns, Princess never got back to us to check we were OK. Had this happened we would probably have accepted that Princess did all they could to deal with the problem but no - we were merely customers - and this was the 70th birthday gift to my partner - which, if Princess had checked, they would have known about. At the time of writing still no response from Princess so management customer care - zero, on board waiter staff care - 11 out of 10. Odd considering that a primary rule of any business is to ensure your customers are looked after. We sought no additional favours etc, merely an acknowledgement that we had been put into a position of some awkwardness and that Princess understood this. After all - what happens next time another passengers door does not open?

i met many friends, we occupied ourself with alot to do most of the time and always had someone who didnt go to dinner to come to the buffet with me as my parents went to the main restaurant. although there isnt much to do for us, we still entertained eachother going to karaoke and late night swimming in the pool as it never got closed up like on Royal Caribbean.

Excellent first cruise only problem was the medallion it worked when it wanted to , would recommend booking your dining before you leave for your cruise

The itinerary was good for a week-long adventure. But I must say in this case the people I met, and friends I found, made it a thousand times better. Had one snafu in the main dining room, but I already had two appetizers, salad, and bread to fill me up and didn't even have any room in my stomach for it to worry about correcting it.

All in all enjoyed cruise as ship was main destination, would sail with princess again

Good cruise, not great CD but probably just me not liking the daytime entertainment, have had much better with RC. Would cruise Princess again but only because of port locations.

Overall Sky Princess lovely ship with lots to do on board great value shopping - watches & Effy jewellery especially excellent value. Unfortunately cruise spoilt by poor service despite best efforts of more experienced staff. Princess need to put this right fast or their reputation will quickly suffer. Mediterranean cruise offers terrific cross section of ports. Southampton port authority have big issues to resolve- hopefully companies like Princess will be taking issue with them over their shambolic handing of getting passengers on & off ship & out of port efficiently.

The cruise was fine but the ship is far to big for us. To crowded and very busy in the evenings as could not get into the shows much of the time. Smoking is allowed in the casino yuk! We have cancelled our next cruise with Princess and booked ourselves on a smaller more upmarket cruise line. Think carefully about what you are looking for before booking on one of these huge ships.

Enjoyed the cruise, the good weather helped, most people were friendly on board, Southampton was the only let down.

Sky Princess is a beautiful ship and the staff at all levels did everything they could to make our cruise as enjoyable as possible.

A good cruise with an excellent itinerary but missing high quality entertainment on board.

Overall it was not enjoyable because the seas were very rough, lots of passengers were sea sick. The weather was terrible; therefore, our first stop at the Azores was bypassed. That made an extra 2 nights until our first stop in Funchal, which was great. Then the Casablanca stop was eliminated because of their COVID restrictions, so we went to Gibraltar instead, and it was terrible rainy weather. But most passengers went to town in Gibraltar just to find and use free WiFi because the Princess Sky internet was non-existent most of the trip. My recommendation is NEVER take a TransAtlantic in March because of cold weather and rough seas. Previous transatlantic cruises I did were in April to May and they were much better.
