Review summary

Overall it was not enjoyable because the seas were very rough, lots of passengers were sea sick. The weather was terrible; therefore, our first stop at the Azores was bypassed. That made an extra 2 nights until our first stop in Funchal, which was great. Then the Casablanca stop was eliminated because of their COVID restrictions, so we went to Gibraltar instead, and it was terrible rainy weather. But most passengers went to town in Gibraltar just to find and use free WiFi because the Princess Sky internet was non-existent most of the trip. My recommendation is NEVER take a TransAtlantic in March because of cold weather and rough seas. Previous transatlantic cruises I did were in April to May and they were much better.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easy to get on with short lines.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Most dining room dinners had less food and not very well prepared. Not up to expectations.

Crown Grill & Bar

5 out of 5

This was the best meal on the whole cruise. Best filet and best service.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Non existent except for nightly shows. We spent time in The Sanctuary because of the quiet. It was great for reading.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our cabin steward was very good. And the staff inside The Sanctuary was the best service on the whole ship.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The crew was busy cleaning night and day. Common areas and bathrooms were all clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It is a nice size cabin, with lots of hangers and clothes storage. The bed was in need of a new mattress. The bathroom was just okay. Would prefer a separate shower because the tub is slippery.

Ship tip

Book a suite because it would be worth the extra service and larger cabin.

Ports of call

Funchal, Madeira

5 out of 5
The weather was sunny and the city was friendly. We walked all over and did not do a tour. It was nice to be outside.

Lisbon, Portugal

5 out of 5
Took a tour to Estoril and it was very informative. So happy our tour guide gave us so much information and made it fun.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
It was okay because our cruise was only 2/3 full. Way less passengers than the limit on the ship.
