The first 14 days were terrible. The second 14 days were much better. Too many things went wrong in the first 14 days to cover. Bad room, incorrect shuttle bus info, lost time in ports, could not take some of the excursions because the ship got there late, drink charges that were not ours (refunded), missed port day in Southampton because ship was late to port because of sailboat regatta, etc.

Some shows were great! Others not so much.
Service and Staff

The Cielo waiters (Fedley) were great. Rodrigo and Mark were great room Stewards. Most ship personnel were good.
Ship Quality

Nice size ship. Found a little dirt here and there.
Cabin / Stateroom

We were moved out of this cabin after the first cruise. The walls knocked loudly when the ship rolled side to side. The night manager gave us another room to sleep in until the next cruise started. The desk manager gave us an upgrade to a nice mini suite for our trouble.
Ship tip
Don't rent E406. To me Princess has gone downhill in food. Service was great!
Beautiful city. We were sorry the Hop On Hop Off buses were not running. I think we walked about 15,000 steps. We're too old for that. The HoPo would have been great.
Southampton cruise port is a joke. We had a back-to-back cruise. We were warned not to get off between the cruises. We might not have time to get back to the ship.
We cruised with Princess pre covid, no problems at all, cruised with them last May, yes standards seem to have dropped some but still an excellent cruise, back on board this August and we expect things to be back to a high standard by then.
Our Princess Regal trip in December was very good, food was good to great, casual entertainment great, shows just ok. Sorry their trip had issues, but as I am finding out as I sail, every line has issues in today’s environment. You just have to hope your trip gets most of what they need to keep up the quality.
