This was our second sailing on this ship. High level of service overall. Not completely consistent, however. Ship needs an update from top to bottom! Looks tired and dated. Gym was in terrible shape; equipment not working, vinyl coverings torn, no video or TV working. Poor/limited wifi service offered. Sailed with another couple so the much older population didn't bother us. May sail again after the expansion and update this spring. We'll see what the offers look like and what real updates are done.....
Embarkation

Smooth, no issues
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
This was our second sailing on the Silver Spirit. Dining options seem dull and uninspired. Healthy options were very few. We ate at the Grill several nights because the food was freshest (of course, we cooked it at our table) and healthy. However, the choices are uninteresting as far as sides and salad offerings.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Did not participate in most onboard activities as the population on this sailing was significantly older than we are. Your gym is in REALLY LOUSY SHAPE!
Husband did enjoy the wine "course".
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Service was generally excellent. Lunch on the deck 10 was the weakest service we encountered. Staff seemed put out by any requests. Our butler and cabin steward were excellent. Sommelier, Karolina, was outstanding. Added a lot to our dining experiences in the evenings.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Ship needs a major update. Understand that's exactly what is scheduled for March.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Furnishings looked tired, outdated. Upholstery on the sofa/couch in the room was pilled. Colors are tired looking as well. Good use of space, great storage. spacious bathroom.
Ship tip
Crowd tends to be over 65. We have sailed with another couple both times to avoid any issue that may arise from a limited population of new acquaintances to choose from if you are under 60. Gym is very small. Wifi is inadequate for anything much more than email retrieval. At this date, wifi is only included up to 60 minutes per day. Seems petty/distasteful/insulting (and very outdated) for a cruise at this price point.
Hired our own guides both for the full day and the half day. I would go back. Could have used another full day there, or at least a full second day. Could arrive Cadiz (next stop) mid day and spend only a half day as there isn't much to do there.
