Regent # 933 by krook431210

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Voyager / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

Our boat was clean, the staff friendly and efficient.  The food was attractive, well prepared and had more than sufficient variety to keep any palate satisfied.. The tours were well done with the exception of horrible crowding at the Hermitage which was not the fault of the Regent Line. We felt the size of the boat and their service was what attracted us to Regent and they did not disappoint.  They used inventive ways to introduce us to the people near our suite with an impromptu cocktail party in the hallway. The end of the cruise made easy by their efficient handling of the baggage.   I was happy enough to book another cruise for next fall.

More Than Advertised by johnihughesocal

The Regent cruise was much more than "All Inclusive". It was excellent not having to be concerned with a billing process for daily drinks, excursions, etc. More importantly, we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere on board, a function I believe of fewer travelers, implicit service, and spacious  accomadations. The interactions with our cabin steward, Reception, Destination Services, Internet Cafe, and Waite staff were excellent. The excellence of service began long before the cruise with Tricia Kirkbride, our cruise concierge. She met our expectations in every way. Although not directly with the cruise, having a tie in with "Business Air" accomodations added to that relaxed, easy atmosphere.  Obviously we loved our experience, but an area of improvement would be updating the Voyager. Not shabby, but in need of some cosmetic updates. We would highly recommend Regent and would consider traveling with Regent on our next cruise.

Seven Seas Voyager is Excellent by wasoble

Ship-beautiful.  Suite-luxurious. Ship's staff-wonderful. Food-terrific, I have had better but have no complaints.  Ship's staff-believable--attentive, personable, caring.  Entertainment - could use more variety, wonderful nonetheless.  Will definitely cruise on Regent again!  Out of the 20+ cruises this was the best.

Some Great, Some Not So Great by BilMar

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Voyager / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

The Voyager had just come out of a 10 day dry dock for interior upgrades and on day of embarkation our check in was delayed over 2 hours because the ship was not yet ready to board. The first full day of our cruise the ships cruise director kept making apologies for things not being "show ready" and thanking everyone for their understanding in the matter. Several days into the cruise the pool had yet to be open and  the room attendants and ships staff were still "putting things into place."     We were in a catagory F-Deluxe Suite and were pleasantly suprised by the rooms ample size and large walk in closet. The bathroom had a seperate shower and full size tub which would have been great had it not been for the lack of water pressure in our cabin and the foul, musty oder that came from the shower drain when it wasn't in use. A mention of this to our room steward seemed to fall on deaf ears. The service on board was comparable to other cruise lines (Holland, Celebrity, Disney) and a few of the bar staff and and wait staff were expecptional (thank you Simone, Rosie, Andrew and VeJay). The all inclusive aspect of the cruise was a huge plus and and the smaller number of passengers made for a pleasant, almost private, cruise experience. For the money that we spent, we were disappointed that the ship was not in perfect order when we boarded.

a cruise with some unexpected surprises by JamesBonilla

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Voyager / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

we upgraded to a penthouse suite but the actual size of the suite was the same as the normal ones. only difference was the larger balcony and the addition of a butler. we were below deck 11 at the back of the ship (1057) and when the deck above (pool deck) was washed, the water and dirt spilled over our balcony. fortunately we missed getting wet when it happened.

The best service I have ever had on a cruise. Great suite, wonderful crew. The special restaurants are great how ever the compass rose was very disappointing.

Overpriced Cruise by Michael2

Based upon my evaluation of the main dinning room food service, I would not recommend this ship. I thinh Princess and Celebrity offer better value.

A once in a lifetime experience by AT183

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Voyager / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

This is our second Regency cruise and I love this cruise line. The ship carried 700 passengers, but it seemed like very few people were around. There was plenty of open tables in any bar, restaurant, show, pool, for golfing or shuffleboard. The spa was wonderful, but book an appointment as soon as you embark. The best time for a massage is during the last third of your cruise since by then you are tired from sightseeing. The excursions are well organized and overall very good. I love that you don't have to pay for anything once you get on-board, except for premium wine, gambling and personal items.

Deja vu all over again! by MartinG

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Seven Seas Voyager / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

The ship itself is not the biggest nor the smallest. A good size to have plenty of folks to meet and greet, or just get lost in the crowd, whatever your pleasure. Enough to have a nice crowd for a show or other gathering, but not so many as to make it impossible to deal with the people. First class accommodations. Size and construction of all areas, public and private, is top drawer.

Definitely want to cruise Mediterranean again -- probably not in August -- it was VERY hot. Have booked a Holiday cruise for 2020 aboard the new RSS Splendor.

Good Mediterranean by ElinaM

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Voyager / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Overall I enjoyed the experience you get with Regent and lack of worry over the bill in the end and the tours included. Evening entertainment wasn't quite to my taste. And for the price I would have expected no noise from the ceilings and doors in the suite.

Wedding anniversary spoiled by Msheyn

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Voyager / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

My wife and I booked a penthouse suite ( we wanted that particular suite, because of the balcony size) and butler service. When we arrived on the ship and moved into a suite #976, my wife and I felt a real strong vibration that was coming from the floor, also there was a terrible noise in the suite as a result of the vibration. We did not say anything to anyone at this point , even though the support staff, I am sure, knew about this problem, but still let us to move into this suite. Later on, during my conversation with the ship’s General manager, Nickie Sheils, she admitted that she knew about the vibration problem. My wife and I did not get a good night of sleep for the following two days, but the problem was getting worse. We finally mentioned this to our butler and he let the executive concierge know right away. He offered to move us to a much smaller suite with the balcony, that is more then three times smaller than the one we paid a lot of money for. All this was very upsetting and didn’t even begin to describe our disappointment and physical pain that both of us experienced after spending two and a half days in that vibrating suite day and night . We had to move to a smaller and less expensive suite, (they offered a small amount of money that did not even cover the difference between the cost of the two cabins), just to get away from all the noise and vibration, because they did not give us any other option and were very rude and unprofessional in the process. I am not saying that there weren’t anything good about this cruise (there was plenty), but we looked at it through the prism of our marred experience and couldn’t enjoy it.

We’ve cruised with Regent many... by jenyfur

Sail date: /
Ship: Seven Seas Voyager

We’ve cruised with Regent many times. Always wonderful. This trip was no exception except for the disembarkation in Monte Carlo. Awful doesn’t even begin to describe it. We were told by Regent employees that once you gather your luggage there would be taxis to take us wherever we wanted to go as we weren’t taking their busses to the airport. My husband and had my parents (edging on elderly) and 8 pieces of luggage between us. There were no porters to help first off. Ok, we’re young and able bodied so we handled getting all pieces including parents to the instructed taxi zone. Which was a busy port road and a curb. We were spilling out over on to the street (you can imagine how that went on European roads) anyway there were absolutely no taxis and no way to flag anything down. After an hour and a half of trying to figure out what to do (we weren’t the only ones waiting either) a private driver happened by and we pleaded our case. He was wonderful and took us 2 miles to our hotel for $100 fine, at that point I would have paid a thousand to get my frail mother and dad out of the sun. So long story short this left a very bad taste in my mouth regarding Regent. I will be contacting head office as well.

Three good ports - not likely to return by MarkDances

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Voyager / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

We traveled with 15 cruise friends and throughly enjoyed seeing them again (several were at our wedding 9 years ago). Their presence motivated us to come back to Regent. However the price for their product which now includes excursions on big buses in every port is not a good value. The highlight of the cruise was the Buddhist temple - impressive.
