Review summary

This is our second Regency cruise and I love this cruise line. The ship carried 700 passengers, but it seemed like very few people were around. There was plenty of open tables in any bar, restaurant, show, pool, for golfing or shuffleboard. The spa was wonderful, but book an appointment as soon as you embark. The best time for a massage is during the last third of your cruise since by then you are tired from sightseeing. The excursions are well organized and overall very good. I love that you don't have to pay for anything once you get on-board, except for premium wine, gambling and personal items.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The specialty restaurants were really good, but we also enjoyed eating dinner in La Veranda. The Compass Rose didn't have as quick service, but both restaurants had menu options from Signatures and Prime 7, so you could have their exceptional food every night. It was also nice that you could go to dinner at anytime and eat alone or with others. You are allowed to book the specialty restaurants ahead of time online and once on-board schedule a second dinner. Definitely book ahead of time. It was fun to meet other people during dinner. We had room service for breakfast most mornings and one dinner. The food was hot and well presented.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The floor shows were pretty good, not excellent. The staff show was really good. The lecture on Venice was poor and we didn't attend the rest of the lectures.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was the best I've met. The service was exceptional and we had time to get to know them personally. The Compass Rose was the only slow service we encountered

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The Voyager just received a remodel, so everything was brand new.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Since the ship was newly remodeled everything was spotless. I love the sitting area with a black out curtain. The bathroom is really nice, with a bathtub for those of us that love a nice soak in the tub. If you choose a C category, get cabin 878, 877,1054 or 1055 on the stern. We had a 104 sq foot balcony that wrapped around the side. The 360 view was incredible and it had the added benefits of no wind at the back and at port, you were looking at the view, not another ship. We loved sitting on our own lawn chairs to read and enjoy the view. It was worth the added cost. Our butler was fantastic. Any service we needed was completed within 5 minutes.

Pros: I love Regency, the staff is exceptional, the food great and the staterooms wonderful.

Cons: I didn't have time to take advantage of all the amenities onboard
